Is there a treatment that can stimulate hair growth without the need for surgery?

Q. My question is about hair loss treatments. Is there a treatment that can stimulate hair growth without the need for surgery? Are there any solutions I can use from home that will improve or at least slow down the hair loss. You help would be much appriciated. Thank you

A. While there isn’t a treatment that will bring back the hair that is lost but there a number of topical and medications that you could try, a topical solution that you could buy in the chemist is minoxidil which you would apply each day, if you combine this with a dermaroller it increases its effectivetness, you could also talk to your GP about a prescription for finisteride which will also help to slow down hair loss.  Another treatment but you need to go to a clinic for is laser hair lamp therapy while you can buy some combs for home use they require a lot of dedication in terms of time to see any results whereas the full hair lamp should be about 20 mins per session once a week for a couple of months.
