My question is about facelift surgery and the effect it has on the chin area if any at all

Q. Good Afternoon. My question is about facelift surgery and the effect it has on the chin area if any at all. I have what I consider to be a weak looking chin but also would like my cheeks lifted as well. At 45 years old im really starting to show my age and im not sure about what is the best option to lift these areas of my face? Any help you can give would be great. Thank you

A. Hi and thanks for your question. It all depends by what you mean when you talk about the chin. If you mean the anterior part of the mandible (the bone that lies at your very front), then a face lift and neck lift will do nothing for that, and there are other procedures we do for strengthening a weak looking chin, as you put it. If you would like your cheeks lifted as well then we want to look at the volume loss in this area that you’ve had over the years and we may want to replace this. I can show you pictures of what I mean at a consultation. If you want to come to see me for a consultation or if you want to come to my open day we can discuss things then, but in summary I would say that we have a huge range of treatment options available and we want to find one within your budget, your recovery time and your needs. If you want to see me please call 0141-552 0828 and we can take it from there.
