My silicon implants are now 14 years old and I have capsular contracture
Q. My silicon implants are now 14 years old and I have capsular contracture to a certain degree. I recently learned that I was implanted with inferior quality implants and although I have no symptoms, I am presuming that by now they will both be ruptured. Would their removal (without replacement) be more expensive if they have ruptured ? I am 54 years old.
A. Thank you for your email. Please do not presume that they are ruptured without evidence. If you are symptom free, then you do not require any removal and or replacement. I advise you that your breasts should be examined by a qualified plastic surgeon atleast once in a year. The removal of implants cost £2200 as a day case procedure. Removal and replacement costs £4200. I have following suggestions to help you further: 1) Please send me good quality photos for my initial comments. 2) You may wish to arrange a detailed consultation to allow me to examine you and give my opinion. 3) Please visit our website: www.vadodariaplasticsurgery.com to allow you to develop better insight into the procedure. Please contact my office on 0208 997 3976 between 9.00 am and 5.00 pm or by email on info@vadodariaplasticsurgery.com for further guidance.
