Q. Over time my ears have become very stretched out form wearing large and heavy earrings. On one side the lobe has split, and healed that way. What kind of surgery could fix this? Is it possible to make my ears look normal again?
A. Thank you for your email. This is very common condition following usage of heavy earrings. The split ear lobule can be reconstructed under local anaesthetic as a day case. It takes 30 to 45 minutes to perform the procedure. The enlarged ear lobule can be made smaller by a small procedure under local anaesthetic as a day case.
