Q. I have sagging skin under my neck area and I would like to have a neck lift. How does this procedure work? Is it similar to a tummy tuck. I am curious as to how long the actual procedure takes to complete and also how long the recovery period is?
A. The procedure works by undermining the whole front of the neck and stitching the muscles at the front of your neck together so they act as a hammock, so yes I guess it is similar to an abdominoplasty in this respect. The scars are hidden around the ears, under the chin and in the hair. The procedure takes about 2.5 -3 hours, is done under a general anaesthetic, you stay in overnight and have small drains (coming out behind the ears), and the recovery is about 10 days, but it takes about three months before the neck is as soft as it was before (healing and scarring). Q. I am just under 5ft use to be size 8 7 1/2 stones before the birth of my two children. I am now a size 12 weighing at 8 1/2 stones. Really want to lose some fat around my stomach area? What are risks of this?
A. The risks depends on the procedure you would like to undergo and this in turn depends on how elastic your skin is. Very elastic: liposuction, not very elastic: abdominoplasty. Q. I want some information and a tummy tuck. I have a small child and I have not being able to get my abdomen back to normal. I have undergone a treatment of mesotherapy to get rid of the fat around my waist and tummy. It was a great help but I still have excess skin.

Q. After complications at child birth I had to have an emergency hysterectomy and now have a scar starting just below my belly button approx 12cm down. I was wondering whether a tummy tuck would minimise the apperance of the scar as well as some strech mark treatments.
A. Thank you for your inquiry. An abdominoplasty procedure (Tummy tuck), usually removes the skin and fatty tissue below the bellybutton and above the mons area. It does replace the vertical scar however with a relatively long horizontal scar, but can lead to a more aesthetic appearance of the abdomen, and reduce the chance of seeing the scar when wearing a bikini.

Q. I put on a lot of weight during my first pregnancy which resulted me losing 5 stone in weight through dieting. I then fell pregnant again and after having my second baby I dieted again losing just under 2 and a half stone but I have loose skin around the midrift and horrible stretchmarks that I cannot seem to get rid of and I feel it looks really bad.
