Could I have an arm lift at the same time as having a tummy tuck

Filed under: Arm Lift,Expert Answers,Mr Lucian Ion,Tummy Tuck — Tags: abdominoplasty, Arm Lift, arm lift procedure, combine an arm lift procedure and abdominoplasty, Tummy Tuck — admin @ 11:02 am

Q. Could I have an arm lift at the same time as having a tummy tuck. I believe this will lower the costs of having both procedures seperately. Can this be done?

A. Thank you for your enquiry.   It is indeed possible to combine an arm lift procedure and abdominoplasty (tummy tuck).   I would advise in this case however to project for at least a 2 week but better a 3 week period for return to work, as this means more areas need to heal in order for you to feel comfortable.

Q. Can u please let me have a price on a arm lift. I am thinking of having one done in the next 3 month so how soon do I need to book surgery / consultation?

A. Hello there thank you very much for your enquiry. An arm lift (or brachioplasty) is becoming a popular procedure and is often combined in certain patients with liposuction. Prices will vary according to the complexity of the procedure and indeed the hospital it is performed in. Please do give Kim, my secretary, a call on 01342 330302 to discuss prices and booking a consultation. You are probably leaving the right amount of time and I am sure we will be able to fit you in. Please see www.paulebanwell.com for further infromation. You can also email us at help@paulebanwell.com. I look forward to meeting you Take care Paul banwell

Q. I had a gastric band fitted 2 years ago and in a controlled way I have now lost about 3 quarters of the quarters of the weight I have planned to. When I finally come to the end of my weight loss I am going to be left with a large amount of unwanted skin on my body, especially around my stomach, hips and upper arms. I would like you opinion on what procedure will be best for someone imn my position? I have done some reading about liposuction and body lifts but I may need to have both. Thanks for your time. Will

A. Hi there. congratulations on your weight loss. There is a lot of skin that may need to be removed after losing so much weight. We tend to remove one or two areas at a time – for example, common combinations include a breast uplift and arm lift, or a tummy tuck and thigh lift, or back lift and tummy tuck. Often people who lose large amounts of weight will have more than one operation to lift various parts of their body and improve their silhouette. Each time you have surgery, obviously, there is a financial implication and we can discuss which parts affect you the most at a consultation before making a treatment plan for you. If you would like a consultation please call 0141-552 0828 or email enquiries@labelleforme.co.uk

Q. Im am seeking more information on the body lift surgery and what procedures it involves. After losing six stone in weight the excess skin around my stomach is the most annoying disheartening thing in the world. I was hoping the area would tighten up with regular exercise but this is not the case and I would really like a solution to this.

I am a 51 year old semi disabled woman with psoriatic arthropathy who underwent a gastric bypass 18 mths ago

Filed under: Expert Answers,Mr Lucian Ion,Weight Loss Surgery — Tags: Arm Lift, Breast Uplift, gastric bypass, Koebner phenomenon, psoriatic arthropathy, weight-loss — admin @ 3:43 am

Q. I am a 51 year old semi disabled woman with psoriatic arthropathy who underwent a gastric bypass 18 mths ago. I live in South West Essex. I have now lost 10 stone, have a BMI of 27.5 and am content with my weight loss. I would very much like an arm lift and breast uplift, (and possibly other surgery to get rid of loose skin elsewhere if I can afford it). I appreciate that with an arm lift there is noticeable scarring but this would be a price worth paying if my arms were of normal girth and I was able to wear shoert sleeves without looking like an alien! I would be most grateful if you could let me know whether this may be possible or whether, at the age of 51 my age and skin tone will prohibit a decent result with the 2 above mentioned operations. Many thanks

A. Thank you for your inquiry.   An arm lift procedure can improve significantly the contour.   The main concerns are regarding your psoriasis and general health.   From what you describe, there seems to be a relatively high risk of postoperative Koebner phenomenon, which is appearance of psoriasis in the surgical scars.

I require information on the arm lift and prices

Filed under: Arm Lift,Expert Answers,Mr Shailesh Vadodaria — Tags: Arm Lift, brachioplasty, upper arm lift — admin @ 1:51 am

Q. I require information on the arm lift and prices. Thank you.

A. Thank you for email. If the shape of upper arm is compromised because of excess fat with mild to moderate lose skin then laser assisted liposuction is a reasonable option. If there is significant excess skin then you should consider upper arm lift/ brachioplasty.  Please contact my office on 0208 997 3976 between 9.00 am and 5.00 pm or by email on info@vadodariaplasticsurgery.com for further guidance. I have following suggestions for you: 1) Please send me good quality photos for my initial comments. 2) You may wish to arrange a detailed consultation to allow me to examine you and give my opinion. 3) Please visit our website: www.vadodariaplasticsurgery.com  to allow you to develop better insight into the procedure. I am 32 years old and have always been a bit chubby

Filed under: Cosmetic Surgery,Expert Answers,Mr Taimur Shoaib — Tags: Arm Lift, body contouring surgery, Breast Augmentation, sweat gland removal — admin @ 4:54 am

Q. I am 32 years old and have always been a bit chubby (sixe 12-16) Every time I loose weight I give up because my skin just gets so flabby so there no point I will never look good. My arms are the worst i have loads of loose skin and they have been like this since i was in my late teens. My breast are extreamly saggy for my age too. I would like to fet a brast uplift, arm lift and lipo. Is this too much to put my body through at the one time? Do the risks increas because of this? Would I be able to have my underarm sweat glands cut at the came time? How much would this be likly to cost me? Are there any surgeon that are considered specialist? How do I reserch surgeons? I have been saving for 5 years now so am seriously considering this but very nervious every time I read the risks. Any advice would be greatfully recived.

A. Hi – it’s probably best to have one or two procedures at one time, and we can’t go too much on one area (eg arm lift and sweat gland removal) to make sure you heal as best as possible. If you’re still a bit chubby and could do with a bit of weight loss, then please do lose another stone or two and then have body contouring surgery. If you can go back down to a size 12 and then have your surgery you’ll hopefully get as good a result as we’d hope to achieve. I hope this information is useful

Filed under: Arm Lift,Expert Answers,Mr Adrian Richards,Tummy Tuck — Tags: Arm Lift, breast implants, Breast Uplift, breast uplift prices, prices for arm lift, prices for Breast Uplift, Tummy Tuck — admin @ 11:22 am

Q. Im looking to have arm lift and also a tummy tuck if i have them both done at the same time is there a reduction in the price im also looking for breast uplift and implants?

A. Thank you very much for your enquiry.  It certainly is possible to perform an arm lift and a tummy tuck procedure and there is a significant reduction if you are also looking for a breast uplift and implant at the same time. All of these procedures can be performed in the same operation and if it is most convenient for you over a detailed price quote for this form of surgery. Please ring my office on 01844-214362. You might also find it useful to look at the website aurora-clinics.co.uk which has information on both of these procedures. In particular, I think it would benefit from looking at the information video’s discussing the pro’s and con’s of surgery and also testimonials from people who have recently undergone similar surgery. All our consultations are free and if you would like to schedule one please ring us on 01844-214362 or email us on info@aurora-clinics.co.uk.Many thanks for your enquiry I look forward to seeing you in person, if you do decide to schedule an appointment.   Best Wishes,  Adrian Richards Consultant Plastic and Cosmetic Surgeon Surgical Director of Aurora Clinics

Ive lost a total of 44kg just through dieting and excersise

Filed under: Arm Lift,Expert Answers,Mr Taimur Shoaib,Tummy Tuck — Tags: aesthetic surgery procedures, Arm Lift, blood loss, combined arm lift, combined arm lift and thigh lift surgery, gastric bypass, Thigh Lift, Tummy Tuck — admin @ 5:52 am

Q. HI Ive lost a total of 44kg just through dieting and excersise. I didnt want to be a burden on the NHS by way of surgery for a gastric bypass etc. I have also significantly reduced my BMI from over 42 to within 3 kgs of the NHS healthy BMI for someone with my measurements etc. However now that ive lost the weight the area around my butt and thighs have loose skin which folds inward when I sleep and causes some pain which affects my sleeping. Further I now experience pains in my lower back as when I sit down the skin fols inward and makes it uncomfortable to say the least so i have to sit incorrectly to avoid the annoying pain which then causes lower back pains due to incorrect sitting posture. I also have to take between a size and 2 sizes up from my correct waist size on trousers as the excess skin has to be accomodated. I dont wear shorts as well as when I sit down, lots of excess skin around my butt and thighs move outwards almost like an extension to my thighs. Please let me know what options if any are available to me by way of procedures to be carried out on the NHS as I cant afford private surgery. Thanking you Rajesh

A. Congratulations on your weight loss. It looks like you’re going to need a few operations to remove all the excess skin. Having all the surgery at one go might be too much for things like blood loss and recovery. Each operation for body contouring costs around £4-5000 and there’s usually a gap of around 6-12 months between each operation. You might want to consider operations such as abdominoplasty, arm lifts, lower body lifts, thigh lifts, and so on. For the NHS, you need referral for each operation individually. There is a waiting list each time but at least you will be able to have the surgery for free if you qualify under the NHS. Best of luck with the NHS process and congratulations once again on your achievement
