Q. Hi I am a 23 year old girl and have always hated my arms and forever wanted to do some surgery for my disproportionately flabby and fat upper arms. Can you tell me of the cost for an arm lift or liposuction to my arms whichever would be more suitable?
A. Hi there. It’s very unusual for someone of 23 to need an arm lift, which is an operation for flabby skin. The operation leaves a long scar down the arm, from the armpit down to the elbow, and is really only done when the arms are worse than the scars will be. Liposuction on the arms can be done but we often only see a mild to moderate difference. The costs, obviously, depend on what we hope to achieve and the extent of the problem and you would probably need to see a surgeon for a quote

Q. Hi can you tell me more about an arm lift as I am considering having arm lift surgery done however i am worried that i will not be able to do any lifting or getting about / looking after myself after the cosmetic surgery as i do not have a partner and i live all alone.
A. Hi there, and thanks for your enquiry. After an arm lift, you will need to take it easy but there’s no reason why you can’t do the majority of your day to day activities. You will be only be allowed home from the hospital once you’re OK, and that only takes a day or so. You will be in bandages but there’s no reason why you can’t use your arms to take care of yourself. We usually see you around a week after surgery to make sure you’re recovering according to plan, as well, so hopefully that would be another means of making sure you’re OK.
