I have noticed that it says Restylane dermal filler can be used to remove frown lines on the forehead

Filed under: Botulinum Toxin - Botox,Dermal Fillers,Expert Answers,Mr Adrian Richards,Non Surgical Treatments — Tags: botox injections, filler injections, remove frown lines on the forehead, Restylane dermal filler — admin @ 12:16 pm

Q. I have noticed that it says Restylane dermal filler can be used to remove frown lines on the forehead. Are dermal filler injections more superior to Botox injections to removing these frown lines?

A. Thank you very much for your enquiry, you are right, restylane fillers can be used to soften frawn lines in the forehead. In my opinion, Botox however is a better solution, as the muscles are coarsed by an underlying muscle activity in botox does works by wickening the muscle activity which causes the lines.  You’ll find lots of information about both of this treatment from our website at http://aurora-clinics.co.uk . If you feel you would like to schedule a consultation If you think you would like to schedule and appointment please do so by ringing 01844-214362. My question is about Botox injections for the crows feet around my eyes

Filed under: Botulinum Toxin - Botox,Expert Answers,Mr LeRoux Fourie,Non Surgical Treatments — Tags: botox injections, Botox injections for the crows feet, Botox injections for the crows feet around my eyes — admin @ 12:54 pm

Q. My question is about Botox injections for the crows feet around my eyes. I have never had treatment before and wanted to know what to expect after having the injections such as recovery and whether I can go straight back to work afterwards?

A. You can return to work directly after . Thre botox starts working after 3 days and lasts about 3 months. Sometimes there is a little bit of bruising that can be covered with a concealer

I have 2 prominent wrinkles on my forehead that have always been there

Q. I have 2 prominent wrinkles on my forehead that have always been there. I am 24 years old. Could you suggest what I could have for these to be removed?

A. Thank you very much for your enquiry about the 2 prominent wrinkles on your forehead. Generally, the best way of softening this is with Botox therapy which relaxes the muscle underlying the wrinkle. It is contraction of this muscle which causes the wrinkle itself and by relaxing it you would slowly fade the line. For more information about what’s involved in the treatment please visit our website  http://aurora-clinics.co.uk  where you’ll find lots of information on what’s involved in Botox injections. If you feel you would like to schedule a consultation to discuss the best way forward for you please do so by ringing us on 01844-214362. I know this site is about fillers but I have a question about Botox injections for excessive sweating

Filed under: Botulinum Toxin - Botox,Expert Answers,Mr Adrian Richards — Tags: Adrian Richards Plastic and Cosmetic Surgeon Surgical Director of Aurora Clinics, botox injections, botox injections for excessive sweating, Botox therapies, treating excessive sweating — admin @ 12:34 pm

Q. I know this site is about fillers but I have a question about Botox injections for excessive sweating. Is this something you have come across before and how affective was it on patients?

A. Thank you very much for your enquiry, you are right that Botox injections are very helpful in treating excessive sweating. They can be used to treat excessive sweating of any areas but most often used in the areas under the arms. You may able to find a video of me discussing the pros and cons and what’s involved in the treatment on our website which you may find useful. In general, Botox therapies which is all sweating off in the area for approximately 6-8 months or it may be longer in some cases. I think it would be sensible to have a look at the video and if you would like to schedule a consultation to discuss the best way forward for you please do so by ringing us on 01844-214362. Can Botox injections be used to relax neck bands?

Filed under: Botulinum Toxin - Botox,Expert Answers,Mr Taimur Shoaib,Non Surgical Treatments — Tags: Botox can be used to relax neck bands, botox injections — admin @ 2:40 am

Q. Can Botox injections be used to relax neck bands?

A. Hi there. Botox can be used to relax neck bands if the reason for the neck bands is overaction of the muscles. On the other hand, we can use other treatments to lift bands if they’re not caused by overaction. If you want to come for a consultation I can let you know what would be best for your aims, your budget and your recovery time availability

I had an endiscopic browlift about 2 years ago and was very happy with the results

Filed under: Botulinum Toxin - Botox,Brow Lift,Expert Answers,Mr LeRoux Fourie — Tags: botox injections, Brow Lift, endiscopic browlift, scar in the temple from your previous brow lift, temporal lift — admin @ 8:11 am

Q. I had an endiscopic browlift about 2 years ago and was very happy with the results. I do have one issue with the outer edge of my eye as they are still hooded by skin on both sides. Is there a procedure that would lift the outer brow only? I do not want to have botox injections. Thank you

A. A temporal lift would address this. If you have a scar in the temple from your previous brow lift, this could be used again and a tightening and lifting of the outer brow done. If you have extra skin in the upper lids, an upper lid tuck might be advised that removes the excess skin and the hooding. Both these procedures can be done under a local anaesthetic as a day case.Have you asked the surgeon who did your brow lift for an opinion? RegardsLeRoux Fourie

I would like to get an idea of the cost involved in having Botox injections to tackle the excessive sweating

Filed under: Botulinum Toxin - Botox,Expert Answers,Mr LeRoux Fourie — Tags: botox injections, Botox injections to tackle the excessive sweating, cost involved in having Botox injections, Methley Park Hospital — admin @ 2:12 am

Q. I would like to get an idea of the cost involved in having Botox injections to tackle the excessive sweating I suffer from under my arms. Typically how long can someone expect the effects to last before needing a further injection. I just want to get an idea of how much this may cost over a year. Thank you

A. The charge for me to do it in Methley Park Hospital near Leeds is £400. Costs will vary from clinic to clinic and surgeon to surgeon. The effects last up to 3 months and then have to be repeated. The effect can be cumalative ie the intervals between treatments get longer with more injections.Kind regardsLeRoux Fourie FRCSwww.lerouxfourie.co.uk

Ive had Botox injections is the past for forehead lines which are particularly bad when I frown

Q. Ive had Botox injections is the past for forehead lines which are particularly bad when I frown. I have only had the treatment twice but each time I have suffered quite bad head aces and I would like to find the best alternative to Botox.

A. This can occur but botox is still probably the best treatment for dynamic forehead lines. You could also try dermaroller which can be very effective as well as chemical peels. This can all be in combination with medical grade skin care (eg. Rationale skin care). Will having upper and lower surgery to my eyes improve my crows feet?

Filed under: Blepharoplasty,Botulinum Toxin - Botox,Expert Answers,Mr Lucian Ion — Tags: botox injections, Botox or equivalent injections, Botox or equivalent injections reduce the appearance of crows feet lines, limited impact on the crows feet lines, upper and lower surgery — admin @ 10:21 am

Q. Will having upper and lower surgery to my eyes improve my crows feet? Would you suggest another treatment . I do have bags under my eyes but Im not sure they are bad enough to have surgery yet. From recent enquiries I was told that Botox injections will not improve the bags. Can you offer me any advice please?

A. Thank you for your enquiry.   Botox or equivalent injections reduce the appearance of crows feet lines. They will not improve the eyelid bags, and may occasionally make them worse.   Blepharoplasty surgery can improve the eyelid bags, but will have more limited impact on the crows feet lines. But

Is it normal practice to get drooping eyelids and a tired feeling around your eyes after botox injections

Filed under: Botulinum Toxin - Botox,Expert Answers,Mr Adrian Richards — Tags: Adrian Richards Plastic and Cosmetic Surgeon Consultant, botox injections, drooping eyelids, drooping eyelids after botox injections, slightly too much Botox to your forehead — admin @ 10:19 am

Q. Is it normal practice to get drooping eyelids and a tired feeling around your eyes after botox injections. The person who gave me the injections said this is normal but I just wanted to get an opinion from another professional.

A. Thank you very much for your enquiry. No, in my experience it is not usual to get slightly drooping eyelids and a tired feeling around your eyes following treatment with Botox. This effect normally occurs if whoever has treated you has given slightly too much Botox to your forehead and has weakened excessively the muscles which would raise your eyebrows. To think, this can result in exactly what you described with a slightly lower eyebrow position which can cause heavy eyebrows. The good news, however, is this effect will be temporary but will last approximately 8 weeks. Following this, the next time you have treatment, it will be very important to mention that you had this effect previously and your practitioner can give you slightly less treatment in this area. I hope this information had been useful, and I wish you the best of luck if you do decide to go and have treatment. Best wishes, Yours sincerely, Adrian Richards Plastic and Cosmetic Surgeon Consultant, Aurora Clinics
