Q. Is there any issues in having Botox injections before flying long haul. Also should you stay out of the sun after treatment for any period of time?
A. Thank you very much for your enquiry, no there’s no reason for not having Botox treatment for long haul flight and infact many airline staff do regularly have this. I would however advice not to fly on the day of your injections as we generally advice again to must restrain your activity for 4 hours after treatment. You should really be using a sun block on your face everyday as the effects of ultraviolet light cause aging of the skin even in moderate climate like England. However, with the sun block on there’s no reason why you cannot get out in the sun following Botox injections. I hope this information has been interesting if you’d like more information about these forms of treatment please visit our website http://aurora-clinics.co.uk. Q. Mr Richards. Could you please give me a quote for laser skin resurfacing. The areas I want treated would be the cheeks and forehead as I beleive this procedure will remove lines from my forehead and bags from my eyes. I have also looked into have Botox injections to the forehead for the lines and wondered which you thought wasthe most effective treatment foe the forehead area. Thanks for your time.
A. Thank you very much for your enquiry, generally I would recommend that the most effective treatment for the area would be botox injections as this generally soften the lines and help them fade away. Laser treatments are more focused on the actual quality of the skin but will not have much effect on the lines caused by muscle activity which is best treated with botox treatment. If you would like further information about what’s involved in botox treatment please visit our website http://aurora-clinics.co.uk and if you feel you would like to schedule a consultation to discuss the best way forward for you please ring us on 01844-214362 or email us at info@aurora-clinics.co.uk we’ll be delighted to schedule a free consultation for you to discuss the best way forward. Q. Good afternoon, I wonder of you can help me. I want to have a botox injection to rid my forehead of the frown lines that seem to appear quite deep these days. Im am having them so I look good when I go on my summer hols in September. Is it ok to fly after having botox injections? Regards Peta
A. Thank you very much for your holiday, it does sounds as if you are an ideal person to have a Botox therapy for the lines on your forehead and frown lines. It’s certainly is okay to fly shortly the day after having Botox and many student nurses have regular treatment with no problems. You do have a need to leave 2 weeks for the treatment to work so if you are it’s important to look good for some holidays in September, that treatments need to be performed at least 2 weeks before you go. If you would like to schedule the consultation to discuss the best way forward for you please ring us on 01844-214362 or email us at info@aurora-clinics.co.uk. Q. I would like to have Botox injections to treat the deep forehead wrinkles on my head. I would also like to have treatments from the smile lines and lip lines and wondered if Botox would also be appropriate for this?
A. Thank you for your inquiry. Botulinum toxin injections are suitable crows feet area wrinkles, and can be used with extreme caution also for the lip lines. The problem with using botulinum toxin around the mouth is that that dosage has to be very low to avoid problems with speech or symmetry, and therefore the effect wears quicker then around the eyes.

Q. I have an over active baldder and was informed by my doctor that botox injections could help. He said it was only a temporary fix for my problem but may help while I wait for a permanent treatmnet on the NHS. Is this correct?
A. You’re right botox can be used very effectively for the bladder but this is not the technique we specialize in as it is normally performed by urologists who specialize in this sort of a problem. I suggest you be sensible to phone your local private hospital and schedule a consultation with urologist, he would be able to advise you as to the best way forward for you. Q. I have lines of wrinkles in sides of nose, but in one side of nose really line which just stands out. Can I do something about that using laser for erasing wrinkles as I know is the most useful and effective method?
A. Thank you very much for your enquiry, the lines on the side of your nose are actually called nasal scrunch lines or bunny lines. These lines are caused by contraction of the underlying muscle on the side of the nose and the best treatment for them is by relaxing the muscles. This is normally performed with Botox injections which typically reduce the lines for approximately 4 months. This technique is safe and very effective, and in my opinion would be the best way forward for you. For further information about this type of treatment please visit our website http://aurora-skin-clinics.co.uk and if you feel you would like to schedule an appointment to discuss the best way forward for you please do so by ringing us on 01844-214362. Many thanks for your enquiry, we do look forward to seeing you in the near future if you do decide to go ahead with treatment. Q. 12 days ago I had botox injections to 3 facial areas. The person doing the injecting described herself as a mobile aesthetic nurse. I was not made aware of any risks involved. The following morning I had bruises at injection sites. 5 days later I developed flu like symptoms, aching, severe headache, muscle weakness in my legs and dizziness. I am still experiencing these symptoms. I have learnt today that another client who was given botox the same week has been unable to swallow. I have had botox before so do not feel it is the way I react to it. Can you advise me how long these symptoms are likely to last and is there a body that I can complain to about this? I would much appreciate any advice you can offer me
A. Thank you for your inquiry. In the first instance, you should discuss it with the nurse that has provided the treatment. Additional source of information would be Allergan with the manufacturer for the product.

Q. If im taking medication would I have to wait to have Botox until I have finished the course.
A. If you’re on medication then it all depends on what you’re on whether you can have botox or not. Most of the time you’re OK to have botox, but some medications interact with botox.
