Could the smile lines around my mouth be treated with Botox?

Filed under: Botulinum Toxin - Botox,Expert Answers,Mr Adrian Richards — Tags: Adrian Richards Plastic and Cosmetic Surgeon Consultant, botox treatment, dermal fillers as a probable treatment to this area, smile lines around my mouth be treated with Botox — admin @ 8:06 am

Q. Could the smile lines around my mouth be treated with Botox?

A. Thank you very much for your enquiry, the answer to your question is yes the smile lines under your mouth can be treated with botox, however, we often recommend dermal fillers as a probable treatment to this area. This is because many cases they give a best result without the risk of potential weakness from the muscles around the mouth which can occur after botox treatment. For free consultation about the best way forward for you to assess the area please ring us on 01844-214362. We’ll be delighted to schedule a time for free consultation and to discuss the best way forward for you. Best Wishes, Yours sincerely Adrian Richards Plastic and Cosmetic Surgeon Consultant, Aurora Clinics

Please advise how soon after botox I can give a facial massage. Does a facial shorten the affect of a botox treatment?

Filed under: Botulinum Toxin - Botox,Expert Answers,Mr Lucian Ion — Tags: botox treatment, Botulinum Toxin - Botox, Does a facial shorten the affect of a botox, how soon after botox I can give a facial massage — admin @ 2:34 am

Q. I am a massage therapist. Please advise how soon after botox I can give a facial massage. Does a facial shorten the affect of a botox treatment.

A. The thank you for your enquiry   I recommend to my patients to avoid pressure to the areas treated with Botox for the first 24 hours, as well as to refrain from exercise for the same duration.   I suppose that for maximum safety you may want to extend this interval to 48 hours, and I would recommend that around the forehead the direction of the massage is always away from the eyes (which it probably is anyway).   Once the botulinum toxin has attached itself to the receptors present in the neuromuscular plate, I cannot see why massage to the area with change in anyway the duration of the effect.

Could you please give me a quote for laser skin resurfacing

Filed under: Expert Answers,Laser Treatments,Mr Adrian Richards,Skin Care — Tags: botox treatment, botox injections, Laser Skin Resurfacing, Laser treatments are more focused on the actual quality of the skin, remove lines from my forehead and bags from my eyes — admin @ 9:58 am

Q. Mr Richards. Could you please give me a quote for laser skin resurfacing. The areas I want treated would be the cheeks and forehead as I beleive this procedure will remove lines from my forehead and bags from my eyes. I have also looked into have Botox injections to the forehead for the lines and wondered which you thought wasthe most effective treatment foe the forehead area. Thanks for your time.

A. Thank you very much for your enquiry, generally I would recommend that the most effective treatment for the area would be botox injections as this generally soften the lines and help them fade away. Laser treatments are more focused on the actual quality of the skin but will not have much effect on the lines caused by muscle activity which is best treated with botox treatment. If you would like further information about what’s involved in botox treatment please visit our website http://aurora-clinics.co.uk and if you feel you would like to schedule a consultation to discuss the best way forward for you please ring us on 01844-214362 or email us at info@aurora-clinics.co.uk we’ll be delighted to schedule a free consultation for you to discuss the best way forward. I had Botox treatment about 6 months ago for an area around my eys and dident have the best experience with the treatment

Filed under: Botulinum Toxin - Botox,Expert Answers,Mr Adrian Richards — Tags: Adrian Richards Plastic and Cosmetic Surgeon Consultant, botox treatment, Botox treatment for the area around your eyes, recommend that you have 3 treatments spaced approximately — admin @ 10:19 am

Q. I had Botox treatment about 6 months ago for an area around my eys and dident have the best experience with the treatment. I would still like to have a treatmnet every now and again and would like to find out what other treatments would be benificial to me?

A. Thank you very much for your enquiry about possible Botox treatment for the area around your eyes. I presumed you mean the cross fit areas which are the lines which come outwards from the outer part of the eyes. This treatments are generally successful with Botox to the upper areas but you can be left with some residue lines on the lower part of the cheeks. I generally recommend that you have 3 treatments spaced approximately 3-4 months in devote to give you the best result. For more information about what’s involved please visit our website http://aurora-clinics.co.uk and we’d be more than happy to advise you as to the best way forward and schedule a free consultation if you do decide to proceed with treatment.   Best Wishes, Yours sincerely Adrian Richards Plastic and Cosmetic Surgeon Consultant, Aurora Clinics

If I came in for Botox treatment would I be able to return to work the same day

Filed under: Botulinum Toxin - Botox,Dermal Fillers,Expert Answers,Mr LeRoux Fourie — Tags: botox treatment, Botox and Juvederm fillers, lunch time treatment — admin @ 12:26 pm

Q. If I came in for Botox treatment would I be able to return to work the same day. I have holidays booked for later in the year and cannot book anymore days off. I just wanted to see if I could come in for treatment over my lunch hour as your clinic is only a 5 minute walk away. Do I also need to have a consultation before having botox injections?

A. We can see you for the consultation and then do the treatment. There will be some redness that lasts about 15 minutes but Botox and Juvederm fillers are the ideal lunch time treatment

I have read that botox injections can stop excessive sweating

Filed under: Botulinum Toxin - Botox,Expert Answers,Mr Adrian Richards — Tags: botox, botox treatment, botox injections, botox injections to your armpits, botox treatment costs, costs for botox treatment, excessive sweating — admin @ 10:38 am

Q. I have read that botox injections can stop excessive sweating. I sweat heavily around the underarms and it seems to happen even when I am not even doing anything. It something that has annoyed me for a while and if botox can help I would like to hear more. I know that the cost of Botox injections is not going to cost a huge amount but if the treatment works how often would I have to return for more? Thanks in advance.

A. Thank you very much for your enquiry regarding possible botox injections to your armpits. It’s certainly is possible to perform a botox treatment and the approximate cost of this varies between £ 400 and £600 pounds for both armpits.   If the treatment needs to be repeated approximately every eight months but this does vary in some people get 12-14 months of sweat free period from one treatment.   I hope this information is being useful and for more information about the treatment please visit our website http://aurora-clinics.com.uk where you’ll find videos of myself discussing the options.   If you would like to schedule a consultation please do so by ringing 01844-214362. We look forward to meeting you in person to discuss the best options for you.   Best wishes yours sincerely,   Adrian Richards Plastic and Cosmetic Surgeon Surgical Director of Aurora Clinics

Is prevention better than cure when it comes to wrinkles?

Filed under: Dermal Fillers,Expert Answers,Mr Adrian Richards — Tags: botox treatment, wrinkle treatment — admin @ 1:34 am

Q. Is prevention better than cure when it comes to wrinkles? I have a few fine lines on my forehead, would I benefit from botox treatment or would you suggest another treatment?

A. Thank you very much for your question regarding possible wrinkle treatment, and you are right that prevention is generally better than cure as far as buttocks treatment goes. Botox works to weaken the muscles and once the lines are very well established weakening the muscles will not remove them completely.   The ideal time to have Botox treatment is probably from the mid 30′s onwards where the lines between the eye brows across the forehead and the cross free area on the outer most bed of the eye are just beginning to appear.   And you’ll find lots of information on this form of treatment on our website http://aurora-skin-clinics.com.uk.   If you would like to schedule a free consultation to discuss whether Botox treatment would be suitable for you please do so by ringing us on 01844-214362.   Many thanks for your enquiry, we look forward to meeting you in the near future should you decide to schedule an appointment.   Best wishes yours sincerely,   Adrian Richards Plastic and Cosmetic Surgeon Surgical Director of Aurora Clinics

Adrian, I would like to find out more about dermal fillers

Filed under: Dermal Fillers,Expert Answers,Mr Adrian Richards — Tags: botox treatment, dermal filler treatment, Dermal Fillers, static wrinkles — admin @ 11:15 am

Q. Adrian, I would like to find out more about dermal fillers, please, and which could help my static wrinkles ie frown lines that at the ripe age of 44, I m too aware of! Thanks and regards.

A. Thank you very much for you enquiry about dermal fillers. It does sounds as if you may benefit from a dermal filler treatment for your static lines. Other alternative for them is botox treatment but it sounds as if you know how this is generally used for active lines. If you would like to schedule an appointment to discuss the best way forward for you please do so by ringing us on 01844-214362, alternatively you may send a photo of your lines that concern you to info@aurora-clinics.co.uk, I will be more than happy to give you advise on the best way forward for you.  Many thanks for your enquiry I look forward to seeing you in person if you decide to proceed with scheduling a consultation. Have been having botox treatment for about a year now and the effects are starting to have a good effect

Filed under: Expert Answers,Mr Adrian Richards,Non Surgical Treatments — Tags: botox treatment, mid-face lift, mid-face lift procedure, mid-face lift procedure Mr. Adrian Richards — admin @ 11:00 am

Q. Advice required re most appropriate procedure. Have been having botox treatment for about a year now and the effects are starting to have a good effect on forhead but midface is starting to look older now, Please get back to me with suggestions

A. Thank you for your enquiry    The best option for the midface is to lift it up to its previous position.  The best way to do this is with a mid-face lift procedure and I specialise in a technique that does this the MACS lift. There is information about this procedure on our website aurora-clinics.co.uk.  This describes the procedure and likely results from it.   If you would like to schedule a free of charge appointment please contact us by ringing 01844 214362.   I hope to see you soon at consultation   Kind regards, Adrian Richards Plastic and Cosmetic Surgeon www.aurora-clinic.co.uk
