Q. How soon after breast surgery do you tend to have a follow up consultation provided there hasent been any problems and is this included in the original fee?
A. Thank you very much for your enquiry, normally I would see anyone has breast surgery one week following surgery and then two weeks and six weeks. At the six weeks appointment, the post operative photographs are taken and at each stage you will be given details and instructions on how to look after your new breasts. All of these appointments are included within the original fee of surgery and also if you have any problems within first year of surgery this is again included in the fee of your operation and you will not be asked to pay anymore money. However, we will make every effort to schedule your surgery at the optimum time for you, We do uphold the Medical Council guideline of a 2 week cooling off period following your consultation before you can schedule your surgery.Your consultation fee is £150 which is deducted from your surgery fee of approximately £4800.
