A. Dear Amy. It is very normal for your breast tissue to feel lumpy at your age.  Your breasts are likely to feel more lumpy just before you period and for a few days to a week following.  It is very common for your breast tissue to feel firmer that the surrounding fat – hence feels lumpy.  If you are still concerned you sould make an appointment to see you GP.Best regards

A. Thank you for your inquiry.   Fibrocystic changes in the breasts can lead to the type of firmness of the tissue that you are describing. However, it would be wise to discuss this matter with your GP end have an examination, or if he has any doubts a referral to a specialist breast surgeon.
