I want to get a chemical peel and i went to harley medical the amount was 595 pounds and in cosmetics uk

Q. I want to get a chemical peel and i went to harley medical the amount was 595 pounds and in cosmetics uk clinic the amount is abt 300 pounds whihc one is safer and whihc one shuld i go for plus cosmetic uk uses dermaroller and harley uses obagi looking forward to hearing frm u thnks t

A. Thank you very much for your enquiry, whether your skin would be best treated with chemical peels, dermal roller, or obagi really depends on your skin type and what concerns you. Skin peels do vary very weak peels to deep kelloid, the deeper skin giving a more long lasting result with the downside of more downtime following the treatment. I think it would be best to have a overall discussion with your specialists about the pros and cons and likely results following each type of treatment prior to deciding which one you would like to proceed with. We would be delighted to see you in one of our clinics for free consultation to discuss which would be the best treatment for you and you could schedule an appointment by ringing us on 01844-214362. In the mean time, it maybe worthwhile having a look at our website http://aurora-clinics.co.uk where you’ll find lots of information about the different types of skin treatments available for you. Many thanks for your enquiry, we do look forward to meeting you in the near future should you decide to schedule a consultation. I have alot of fine lines around the underneath of my eyes and around my mouth

Q. I have alot of fine lines around the underneath of my eyes and around my mouth. I am currently using Renova treatment but I don’t feel its making a great deal of difference. Im wondering if a chemical peel may be a better option for me to treat these areas?

A. Indeed. Peels could be very useful for this problem and we have had some good results. However, there are a number of other anti–ageing modalities which could also be useful. I would need to assess you to make an informed decision Please do book in with Janine or Kim in the office on 0845 2600 or email help@paulebanwell.com Cheerio Paul Banwell www.skininstituteuk.com

I have wanted to improve the skin on my face and I wanted to try a chemical peel

Q. I have wanted to improve the skin on my face and I wanted to try a chemical peel. What if I have some kind of reaction to the treatment?

A. Chemical peels can cause depigmentation ie loss of colour or hyperpigmentation ie darker patches. I do not do chemical peels anymore as I have found that the Dermaroller gives better resultsLeRoux Fourie

Do chemical peels work for freckles?

Q. Do chemical peels work for freckles? I have freckles all over my face and I really hate them. If the chemical peels treatments is not suitable could you tell me of anything else that may help?

A. Thank you for your inquiry. A combination of sunblock hydroquinone (skin bleaching) and chemical peel or Fraxel laser is usually quite effective in reducing or sometimes eliminating freckles.

I would like enhance the quality of my skin

Q. I would like enhance the quality of my skin. I worked in Spain as a time share rep for about 5 years and the sun coupled with 20 a day has left my skin dry and very wrinkly. I have been off the fags for 3 months and feel this is a good time to have some treatment. Would you suggest the chemical peel as the most suitable way forward to fix my problem?

A. THank you for your enquiry.  From your description, I would recommend starting on Obagi Nuderm program to restore health skin followed by a Blue Peel after 6 – 8 weeks.  You will need to have a full consultation to assess your skin and plan a treatment program. Please call Anne or Kirstie on 0207 863 3140 or email kirstie@lbps.co.uk who will be happy to arrange your consultation for you.Best wishes

I would like your view of the best treatment for sun damaged skin between a chemical peel and the dermaroller procedure

Q. I would like your view of the best treatment for sun damaged skin between a chemical peel and the dermaroller procedure. I have considered both but im unsure whichh one will give me the best results?

A. The peel removes the top layers of the skin and the dermaroller only increases collagen production, so I would go for the peel. I am afraid I do neither. Best wishes Barbara www.barbarajemec.com

I have some sun damage to my face from years of holidaying abroad

Q. I have some sun damage to my face from years of holidaying abroad. My friend had a chemical peel which really improved the look of her face and I am thinking of having the treatment myself. How long does the procedure take? Will I need to take the whole day off to recovery??

A. Thank you very much for your enquiry, it does sounds as if a chemical peel would be a very good treatment for you and we tend to favor a course of peels which we find have a better effect than one single deep peel. They also have a much lesser downtime.   In order to assess to give you recommendations to the best form of peel for you please ring us on 01844-214362 to schedule an appointment.   Our team would be happy to see you and to assess your skin type and give you a recommendation as to how we can improve the sun damage.   If you would like to schedule an appointment please do so by ringing 01844-214362.   Many thanks for your enquiry, we do look forward to meeting you in person in the near future.   Best Wishes, Yours Sincerely   Adrian Richards Consultant Plastic and Cosmetic Surgeon Surgical Director of Aurora Clinics
