Q. Im just wondering really how much a chemical peel would cost roughly and also how long does the treatment tend to last before you need another. Cost is not a massive concern but a long term solution would be good.
A. Thank you very much for your enquiry, generally we favor a series of a chemical peels to give you the best result. This gives you a very good result with minimum downtime unlike the more old-fashioned peels which cause significant skin scaling and redness. If you would like to schedule an appointment to discuss the best type of peel for you please do so by ringing us on 01844-214362. All our consultations are free and the cost for each peel is in the region of 200-250 pounds. Many thanks for your enquiry, I look forward to meeting you in person in the near future. Q. I would be grateful if you could forward me a price for a chemical peel. I am 35 yrs old and have developed fine frown lines and lines on my forehead due to sun damage. Out of al the treatment available this sounds the right one for me. Many thanks.
A. Thank you very much for your enquiry for chemical peel. If you have lines in your frown areas and forehead often these are best treated with botox which relaxes the muscles and reduces these lines. As you say also typically would be a chemical peel which can be used to improve the lines if they’re very fine. Q. I would like to have a general idea of cost for a mini facelift or if there are other less invasive techniques that I could consider. I am not totally keen on the idea of surgery so would prefer a non surgical procedure if there is something out there as affective as a facelift.
A. Thank you for your inquiry. I am sure that if there was anything nonsurgical and that would be as effective as a facelift, no one would ever want to have the facelift. There are many types of intervention which are labelled as facelift equivalents, starting from beautician treatments, injectable fillers, threadlifts, but ultimately not really the same as. It is also fair to say that in some patients, combinations of laser resurfacing or a very deep chemical peel and fat transfer can be relatively similar to a mini facelift. However, in order to be as effective they tend to be more less as invasive. Q. I am asian and used to have very fair skin and for the past three to four years i have really dark patches on my skin and am a darker skin colour. i have been told i have hyperpigemntation. how do i treat this…as i feel so much less confident with this skin tone as i used to be so fair in colour. is it possible to bleach the skin? my relative had a similar probelm and aid she had a fraxel treatment and it did not do anything for her. i heard the chemical peel is good. what shall i do?
A. Thank you for your inquiry. To begin with, I would suggest to you to incorporate in your daily routine a relatively high factor sunblock. This will reduce the reaction of your skin to sun exposure, which maintains most of the problem that you described. I would be happy to see you in consultation regarding options for treatment. Frequency, a starting point is represented by a combination of creams – the Obagi Protocols- (www.obagi.com), both to achieve some improvement to the appearance of the skin, and to prepare it for more significant treatments like chemical peels or laser.

Q. I would like to enquire about the details and cost of the chemical peel procedure.
A. A chemical peel with me costs £300 each time for a 30% TCA peel, which has a recovery time of around 1 week. My prices are on line at http://www.labelleforme.co.uk/cosmetic_surgery_prices.html and there are various different chemical peels you can have and so you have a choice. If you would like to see me for a consultation first there is a consultation fee, but if you have treatment on the day you get the consultation fee taken off the price of the treatment

Q. I am in my thiries and developed severe adult acne. I had to eventually take roaccutane to get rid of the acne and am left with very bad scarring. I have some deep pitted large scars on my chin and also the roaccutane seems to have aged my skin. What can i do to get rid of scars and improve skin How much could cost?
A. It is possible to improve the appearance of the skin using a combination of subscision and surface treatment either by chemical peel or laser. A more recent addition to the treatment options is represented by the stem cell treatments, still in association with surface treatment like laser or chemical peel. Ideally, you should see someone in consultation in order to discuss these matters and get more individualised guidance.

Q. I am a 53 year woman. I got sunburnt on my chest last summer and it has left my skin saggy and creepy. I am finding it very depressing. Is there any advice you can give. Thank you.
A. Thank you for your enquiry. There are a number of things that you can do to improve the appearance of the chest, but from your description this is more likely to be a cumulative event rather than an episode of the sunburn. It is very important to continue with relatively high factor sun block to protect your skin from further sun related changes, and for corrective measures you can use the Obagi protocols possibly in combination with Fraxel laser treatments.

Q. I have got quite a lot of sun damage, after spending many years in the sun. Would a skin peel be the answer for me.
A. Thank you for your inquiry. There are several types of treatments that are suitable, including a chemical peel. The more basic approach is represented by using skin creams revolving around the retinoic acid compounds, like the Obagi protocols. This can be expanded to the use of a chemical peel, or a laser resurfacing, which more commonly is done with fractionate lasers, like the Fraxel laser.
