How much will it cost for a chin implant or cheek

Filed under: Cheek Surgery,Chin Surgery,Expert Answers,Mr LeRoux Fourie — Tags: chin implant, Liposuction, microfatgrafting to the face, price of a breast enlargement — admin @ 12:39 pm

Q. How much will it cost for a chin implant or cheek implant? im 34 and my face is too thin. Even when i put weight on my body my face shape remains thin. i want a fuller face. will any of these procedures help? this is v important to me. thanking you in advance for a prompt reply

A. I think you could benefit for microfatgrafting to the face , cheecks and chin. With liposuction techniques, I harvest your own fat and inject it under the skin to give volume to the face. This can be done under local anaesthetic as a day case. Recovery is about one week. The cost is abourt £900. The result lasts for years but a touch up is sometimes needed. You are welcome to arrange a consultation to discuss the procedure. Tel 01977664258RegardsLeRoux Fourie

I am interested in the chin resuspension procedure

Filed under: Chin Surgery,Cosmetic Surgery,Expert Answers,Mr Chris Inglefield — Tags: chin and the lip distortion, chin implant, chin resuspension, chin resuspension procedure, course of antibiotics after the surgery — admin @ 12:22 pm

Q. Hello Dr Inglefield, I am interested in the chin resuspension procedure. As my face is like out of shape to the way it was as of the lose saggy chin. Will the chin resuspension make my face shape to pre-op as it use to be? Also my lower lip has gone in, will it come out again like pre-op? Also the risk is an infection. As this is what happened to me during my chin implant, what are the chances of infection happening to me again. Thankyou for your help, hope to hear from you soon. Thankyou

A. The chin resuspension will correct the sagging of the chin and the lip distortion.  There is a very small risk of infection – about 0.5%, you will be given a course of antibiotics after the surgery. Please call Anne or Kirstie on 0845 009 2775 who will be happy to arrange your consultation for you to discuss your concerns and the options.Best regards

I had a chin implant, then had it removed. Now I am left with a lose chin which is droopy and make me look abnormal

Filed under: Chin Surgery,Expert Answers — Tags: Capsule formation and presence of fibrous tissue, chin implant, chin implant removal, chin implantremoved, chin implants, muscle attachment in the chin area — admin @ 3:43 am

Q. Hello Dr Vadodaria, I had a chin implant, then had it removed. Now I am left with a lose chin which is droopy and make me look abnormal. If I hold my chin tight with my mouth it goes normal. Can you do a procedure that will lift my chin and tighten my chin to the way it was before the implant. Thankyou for your time, hope to hear from you soon.

A. Thank you for your email. Can you please inform me when your chin implant was removed. It would be very helpful if you could send me good quality photos with and without smile. You need to understand following aspects before embarking upon any further surgery. 1) Lose skin 2) Capsule formation and presence of fibrous tissue 3) Possible changes in the arrangement of muscle attachment in the chin area. Looking forward to hear from you. With very best wishes,

I am only 18 years old and I look as if I have 3 chins

Filed under: Chin Surgery,Expert Answers,Mr Taimur Shoaib — Tags: chin bone, chin implant, chin reduction, cost of chin surgery, cost of surgery — admin @ 10:08 am

Q. I am only 18 years old and I look as if I have 3 chins. I was wondering if you would be able to tell me what kind of surgery I would need to help me with this and roughly how much would it will approx cost?

A. It’s difficult to know exactly what would be best for you but it all depends on what your chin looks like with the bone and fat distribution. The cost of surgery depends on whether we’re doing the chin bone as well as the fat underneath and whether we put in a chin implant or move the chin bone forward instead. I would normally send a quote out to you after seeing you at a consultation as a lot of the costs depend on the hospital fees

Can witches chin correction also correct sagging tissues that sag off the sides of chin

Filed under: Chin Surgery,Expert Answers,Mr Lucian Ion — Tags: chin correction, chin implant, neck lift procedure, witches chin correction — admin @ 2:55 am

Q. Can wicthes chin correction also correct sagging tissues that sag off the sides of chin, aswell as saggy tissue directly below? Thank you.

A. Thank you for your inquiry.   If there is loose skin off the sides of the chin, the options are to use a chin implant which stretches both the lateral and lower skin laxity, or a neck lift procedure.

One of the well known chin augmentation problems does not involve an implant at all

Filed under: Chin Surgery,Expert Answers,Mr Lucian Ion — Tags: chin augmentation, chin augmentation costs, chin deformity, chin implant, costs for chin augmentation, removal of the chin implant — admin @ 7:32 am

Q. Hello doctor, about the lose chin after a removal of the chin implant. Do you do submental tuck up procedure as I require this by I read on the internet. http://exploreplasticsurgery.com/category/chin-implant/ One of the well known chin augmentation problems does not involve an implant at all. When a chin implant is removed for whatever reason, the expanded soft tissues may not shrink back down. If they do not, and the larger the original implant the less likely they will, the chin soft tissues fall creating the classic witch’s chin deformity. This can be corrected by refilling the collapsed space with a new implant or an advancement osteotomy. Another option is to remove the lax tissues and tighten them from underneath the chin. (a submental tuck-up).

A. Yes indeed, I can assist you with this type of correction.    I would like to mention that it is not a type of surgery that I carry out frequently, and is more commonly related to the ageing chin. For the younger patient I have primarily performed the internal surgery, to avoid external scars.

I had a chin implant in 2008 which got infected and removed after 2 weeks

Filed under: Chin Surgery,Expert Answers,Mr Lucian Ion — Tags: chin implant, chin implant surgery, Medpor implant — admin @ 9:38 am

Q. I had a chin implant in 2008 which got infected and removed after 2 weeks. After removal of the inplant I am left with a lose chin as my chin had streched by the implant. It has been over a year now and doesn’t go back to the way it was. I have researched online and this is called a witch’s chin deformity. I was wondering if anything could be done for this?

A. Thank you for your inquiry.   There are several options related to management of your type of problem.   The first option is to repeat a chin implant. A history of infection does not guarantee that a second attempt would fail. However, if your first implant was not Medpor, I would strongly advise using a Medpor implant this time around. This allows for stronger support to the chin tissues.   The second option is a re-suspension of the chin tissues, which is usually carried out again through an incision inside the mouth.   A less invasive approach would be to use fat transfer or injectable filler around the chin in order to mask the contours, but I doubt it would be a result of similar quality as the first 2 alternatives.   If you choose either the option of implant or chin resuspension, it is fundamental that during the first 10 days after your operation you should avoid chewing and rely strictly on a soft diet to allow for the healing process to carry on undisturbed.
