Q. I cut the bridge of my noise which left a visible scar that is a still a little tender. I would like to know what treatment is avaliable to treat the scarred area and how long you should leave the area to heal before looking at any treatments. Regards
A. Scar revision is only advisable after minimum of 6 months and even then it depends on how it looks, you can buy Kelo-cote or Dermatix to put on the healed scar to make it better quicker. If it becomes bulky, you may need to see someone for possible steroid injection into the scar, but if the scar has just healed and you want to the best for it, put a silicone cream on (one of the two above), stay out of the sun and wait for a year.
