Secondly, what can be done is dependent on what is the cause of your “big belly”. Have you had any children? if not then simple liposuction may be enough. It you have had children, then you may need a mini tummy tuck with liposuction of a full tummy tuck. Q. Hello.I am a 29 yr old woman who has had 3 children ( 2 of which are twins). I now hate my stomach as it never seems to go down in size despite eating a ( reasonably!) good diet and exercise 4 – 5 times a week.
A. Thank you very much for your enquiry, as it’s often the case with people who have had twins and it sounds as if the skin of your tummy has stretched further than its natural recoil allows. Once the skin has stretched even on a very good diet and exercising it will not get the skin to contract. Infact you could do sit-ups all day and this will have no effect on the skin although you would have a very good stomach muscles. Q. Several years ago i had an operation on a large ovarian cyst.when i was sewn back up the surgeon sewed the skin to the muscle wall leaving an unsightly tuck in. apart from this i have a nice flat toned stomach and have no want for a full tummy tuck. is there a procedure to have this fixed, and what sort of cost would it be? thank you for you help
A. Thank you for your email. It appears that you have a tethered depressed scar following the operation for ovarian cyst removal. It can be revised either by releasing the tissue from the underlying muscle and resuturing to avoid surface irregularity. If there is excess skin and fat overhanging on the scar then it is best treated by either a mini tummy tuck or a standard tummy tuck. Q. I am in the process of losing weight and attend a personal trainer and im 35 years old, I have had 5 children one of which was a cesarean section and I am 4 ft 11 ins, I have just over 3 stone to lose and my personal trainer has told me that I will need a tummy tuck after I have lost the weight as their is not way to get rid of the loose skin.
