Thank you for your enquiry.  Inverted nipple surgery can usually be performed under local anaesthetic as an out patient procedure.   Recovery is usually 2 weeks and this surgery should not affect your ability to breast feed. Q. I have flat nipples rather than inverted and been told that this is more difficult to correct and may not last. Is this something you can help with and if so what is the success rate ?

A. Thank you very much for your enquiry. It does sound as if you have grade 1 inverted nipples. These are characterized by flat nipples with            sometimes invert but go back to being flat. It’s not true that these are more difficult to correct than inverted nipples and certainly surgery            can be performed to correct these with a very good good success rate.
