Q. I am interested in nipple surgery and would like to know the cost. I have inverted nipples and very much want them to be normal.
A. Hi there. We can often make inverted nipples better, though they don’t tend to become really protruded after surgery. In fact, at the end of the operation they look the best, but they do shrink back in a little a few weeks later. The cost of inverted nipple surgery is £500 or £600 (I can’t quite remember) and I usually do this as a walk-in-walk-out procedure, so you don’t stay in hospital afterwards. Q. I would like to know if anything can be done with my nipples. They are flaccid most of the time and look like puffy egg yolks which makes the rest of my breast look unattractive. In very cold conditions they look fine (by that i mean the nipple becomes erect) so i dont think i have inverted nipples but theres not enough information on the internet to name a condition. Because they look fine some of the time i dont know if its just a matter of issues with my erectile tissue or something. In their normal condition the nipple lies flat against the areola and look like slits and the whole thing looks like egg yolks as i have said before. I would really appreciate some advice and information of any kind because I feel so insecure about my breasts and as of yet cant find anything that says they can help me. Thank you for your time.
A. It’s difficult to know exactly what’s going on but we do have some options for treatments depending on what the main problem is. Sometimes we can inject dermal fillers into the nipple area. That sometimes makes them less flat. Other times we have to do surgery to reshape the nipples. If you have fillers put in and it doesn’t work then you can still go ahead with surgery at a later date.

Q. I have inverted nipples and would love to have them normal. I’m 40 so am i too old to have this procedure?
A. you’re not too old to have this procedure, and I think we charge around £600 to have this done as an out patient local anaesthetic procedure. It’s important to have a breast examination first, and so do go and see your GP first about this, particularly if the nipple inversion is new.

Q. Was just wondering how much nipple reduction would cost as i think i only need the nipple reduction as my nipple is really big and i dont have the confidence to wear t-shirts. I am a 28 year male and don’t have any fat their just big nipples?
A. Hi there. If you just want your nipples reduced then perhaps we can do this under local anaesthetic as an out patient procedure in which case it would probably cost around £950 (not including a £100 consultation fee). I would have to speak to the hospital to get this price for you but it’s not been a problem in the past for me. I would, of course, have to see you first for a consultation and if it’s something that I’ve misunderstood I apologise in advance!

Q. How much does it cost to have inverted nipple correction? Do i have to stay overnight?
A. Hi there. The cost of inverted nipple correction when it’s done as an outpatient local anaesthetic procedure is £600. You do have to see me for an initial consultation beforehand and the charge for this is £100. So, the total cost is £700. The procedure takes an hour and you leave hospital immediately after the procedure is done. You need to buy an avent nipplette to apply to the nipples after a few days to help them heal in the new right position.
