Q. My skin is in very good condition for my age, although it is a bit sensitive. I have never smoked, drank or sunbathed. I have also used an SPF cream daily for the last 15 years. I have noticed fine lines and broken veins on my cheeks, nose neck and chest. What treatments would help this condition? Am I suited for an IPL treatment?
A. Thank you for your inquiry. From what you described, I believe that intense pulse light treatments would be a suitable approach. This is not an area of specialisation for me, so I can only give the general guidance. We should discuss this aspect with someone specialising in IPL treatments, or with a dermatologist.

Q. I am very interested in having IPL Treatment and wondered if this is a procedure you specialise in and also if it would be suitable for me. Having researched the internet I find the amount of information available regarding this treatment quite overwhelming and confusing. I have never had treatments of this nature before and would only allow a qualified plastic surgeon to carry out the simplest of procedures. I am very fair and my skin is very good (although sensitive) for my age. I have never drank alcohol, smoked or sunbathed and have been using sun factor in my daily cleansing regime for the past 15 years. Very small fine lines are starting to appear under my eyes giving a creepiness appearance( probably because I squint sometimes). I also have a small amount of broken veins on my cheeks and around my nose, my neck and chest during the summer months have a light reddish colour which I would like to remove. If this is something you can help me with I would like to make an appointment to come and see you to discuss the various options available to me.
