I am considering surgery for gynaecomastia
Q. I am considering surgery for gynaecomastia. I have type two diabetes which is well controlled. Will this change anything if i wanted to go ahead with surgery? Would the scar be worse and would recovery time be longer? I have an active job. Does the fact that i am a diabetic have any other problems if i went ahead with surgery?
A. Thank you very much for your enquiry about possible treatment for gynaecomastia. This is normally possible to be treated if you do have type II diabetes it’s important to get down to a normal weight with a body mass index of 30 or below prior to your surgery.
