I would like to know the prices of body lift surgery, i weighed at almost 300lbs.and i m only 25 yrs old!! i have 2 children before i had them i was so skinny and beautiful but after that i was getting depressed and eating disorder….more gaining up…and up. However i had gastric band fitted and the weight have fallen off and i am now with few lbs of my ideal weight however i have enormous amount of loose skin (tummy, tights, arms and breasts) what kind of surgeries can be done to correct the problems?

A. surgery for body contouring after massive weight loss involves many operations to remove the excess skin. Q. I am 34-year old man who has lost 12 stone. I had a gastric band fitted and as expected I have extra skin. However I had not expected to have so much extra on my chest. I look like I have been breast-feeding fro 10 years or so. Can this skin be removed, and where would the scars be positioned?

A. congratulations on losing all the extra weight. Excess skin can be a real problem after massive weight loss, and the idea behind body contouring surgery following weight loss is to improve your silhouette. The scars are often around the nipple, going downwards from the nipple to the “breast crease” and thereafter along the breast crease. The scars can be treated after around 6-12 months with micropigmentation to improve their appearances, but I’m afraid you have to have scars after body contouring surgery.

Q. After having lost over 9 stones, I was left with a lot of excess skin. I need know if I can get all of the excess skin removed at one time. All of the skin hanging off of me looks terrible. Can I have more than one surgery at a time? Will I have to stay in the hospital?

A. congratulations on losing so much weight. We often do two surgery procedures at one time in people who have had massive weight loss, but we don’t really do more than two at a time. You will have to stay in hospital for a length of time that depends on the operation we’re doing – eg 1-2 nights’ stay in hospital

Q. Can you tell me more about the body lift procedures following massive weight loss? I have lots of loose skin on my stomach, thighs and arms and feel getting rid of them is the final step i have to take. I have lost 10 stone with help of a gastric band.

Q. I have lost massive amount of weight but am left with loose skin. What can be done? I have been considering taking action for quite some time as I used to be very obese (24 stone+), and after losing substantial weight I am left with awful sagging and stretch marked skin (especially in the abdominal area) and noticeable man breasts.
