Q. Is it possible to see a gynaecologist without a refer letter as a cash patient as I have been to the GP who said he has sent in a referal letter 6 weeks ago I went back to him a week ago and he said he is still waiting

A. Thanks. This is possible. It is however a little more difficult if your complain is general one and also if you are going to see your local gynaecologist, who might not want to upset your GP. Q. I always try to wear long shirts over jeans/trousers because I feel very conscious of how the area between my legs looks. I am not unhappy as such with my labia however can you tell me if a labia trim would help this area look more like a nearer V shape?

Q. Hi When i sit with my feet together and open my legs i can see pinkish lumps inside my vagina ,could this be a prolapsed utery? or some kind of prolapse. i do suffer with piles could all the straining of the piles cause this prolapse, could this stop me getting pregnant .

A. Thanks. The chances are that you have prolapse, but this is uncommon in those who have never been pregnant.  The persistent straining can cause prolapse. None should stop you from getting pregnant.

Ideally you will be able to have it at the same time as the initial consultation, but this may not be possible – it depends on how much communication / correspondence you have before consultation. Q. I had a baby nearly 11mnths ago but still having after birth pain ive had three sections is this normal ive asked the doctor for a smear but they said im to young

A. You should not be having “birth pain”. You need to see your GP to discuss this and other issues. If it is not their policy to do cervical smaer at your age range, there’s very little you can do, unless you go and have it done privately.

A. Assuming that you are receiving NHS treatment, it is quite unlikely that they will elect to do tummy tuck at the same time.
