I would like to know if the chemical peel treatment is suitable for someone with acne problems? will it even out the complexion and remove (if not reduce) acne? what sort of benefits does one gain from chemical peel treatment? A. I prefer to do Dermaroller therapy to chemica;l peel as rthe results are better with less loss of skin pigmentation. The dermaroller consists of 3 treatments 6 weeks apart with home maintanance therapy. The recovery is 3 to 4 days but a sunscreen needs to be applied.The cost is £1184 for the whole cource. A. it is difficult to give an opinion without seeingyou but it sounds like you need focused liposuction maybe combined with a small mini lift and Labbe type of neck suspension where the neck muscle is lifted towards the ear with a specific sutute. A. I think you could benefit for microfatgrafting to the face , cheecks and chin. With liposuction techniques, I harvest your own fat and inject it under the skin to give volume to the face. Q. Hi, I am a 25 yr old male. I used to weigh 128 Kg about 18 months ago. I now weigh 114 Kg and I am 5’7” tall. However my weight loss slowed down about 5 months ago. About 2 months ago I embarked on a strict diet and exercise routine, but I have large sagging fat around my chest and waist. I need to get this removed, as it is so embarrassing, no matter what I wear my features show. The problem is most clinics wont perform liposuction because I am still over weight. I really need it to boost my confidence and help me reach my goals. Can you help me please?
A. Hi there. congratulations on your weight loss. You still have a lot to lose to be a normal weight and I think the reason most clinics want you to come back after you’ve lost some more weight is that we all want you to have a safe result which is as goos as we can hope to achieve. Also, we want you to have just one procedure rather than many. Liposuction can certainly be performed, but it is not a good way of losing large amounts of fat. We can only remove relatively small amounts at a time (maximum of around 3 litres or so). This is only about 3kg. So, you’re best losing weight with diet and exercise and reserving liposuction for areas resistant to these means. Maybe surgery won’t help you achieve your goals, but it’s difficult to tell without seeing you for a consultation.

A. It sounds like an allergy so stop using the moisturiser and make up you are currently using. Try a short cource of oral antihistamine. Have you had your thyroid functions tested recently?

A. Have you considered microfat grafting?This uses your own fat harvested with liposuction. The fat is then injected in to the ares of the face that needs filling out.
