Q. Im turning 17 in two months and want to have a nose job really badly. Am i able to get one? And how much is the cost of this? Also, I live in North West London… where is the closest place I could have my surgery in? I want to have my surgery in a place close by which will let me have the surgery at this age, and will do it right? Thanks.

A. Thank you very much for your enquiry, we normally do wait for a rhinoplasty [nose job procedure] until you are 18. At this stage your nose will be developed and then you can contemplate surgery. I think it will be worthwhile if you do more search on the nose surgery and if you would like to proceed with it you can schedule a consultation to a surgeon who lives near you to discuss the best way forward for you. Q. I think I may have broken my nose (again) playing football recently. I am 46yo and first broke it when about 14 (cricket) and then again at 18 (diving into a pool). I think I have broken it once more since and this week got a football in the face which may or may ot have broken it again – it seems a little more crooked! Because it has been so long since I first broke my nose is it too late to consider rhinoplasty? Are there additional problems if a nose has been broken for such a long time. I have never had anyone attempt to re-shape my nose. I live on the IOW but am up in Town often if you think it worth making an appointment to see you. A. Thank you for your email. If the nose is broken the way you have described, there may be change in the shape and/or airway obstruction. You should get airway obstruction corrected from the functional reasons. Q. i had rhinoplasty done in august 08,, i still suffer with running nose often and my nose still looks as broke as it did before surgery,, i had the surgery after a assault theat happened to me, my cheekbones and eye sockets were also broken my face i have had no surgery to fix this, but since the assault and the surgey my face just looks different it doesnt look fat it just looks a mess,i have permanent dark eyes and look swollen round my jaw, it causing me problems in my relationship as it is making me feel so ugly? do u have any advice as to what i could do or what surgery i could have, thank you !

I would advice you to go back to see your original surgeon to discuss the options available for you and if you’re not happy with this to schedule a consultation with another surgeon who specializes in the rhinoplasty. Q. I had a rhinoplasty in July and am not happy with the results. The bridge of my nose does not meet the tip of my nose and one side is curved so it gives the appearence that my nose has been flattened in pictures. I cant explain how odd this looks but the general jist is the bridge is wider than the tip. I have a post-op appointment in a few weeks, do you think they will admit to the problem and offer a revision? Also is there any information i need to know?

Q. The tip of my nose is long and bulbous at the end. I would really like to have a normal looking nose and want to consider rhinoplasty as an option. What could be done to make it look normal?

From your description, I believe that a reduction rhinoplasty would be the procedure likely to provide the changes that you seek.   Most frequently, I would carry out this intervention through an open approach, along the lines of what would be discussed at the time of the consultation using computer imaging and simulation

A. Hello there Could I ask when you broke your nose and what problems you are having? Am I right in assuming you have mainly breathing problems or is it the appearance you are concerned about? I would obviously need to see you and assess things but you may need a (septo)rhinoplasty to help things out. Q. Hi. Im thinking about having very minor work done to my nose shape, can you recommend anyone whos specialises in this?also whilst under anesthetic id like lip fillers as i have had this done in past and found it too painfull,are there any that last a long time?

Q. How does a rhinoplasty cost as a rough guide. How long does the process take from consultation to end result?
