Q. I am extremely interested in having a rhinoplasty, i have now seen a couple of surgeons and do not feel they are the right for me. I have been told i have an severly deviated septum. Could you please suggest about how i should go about finding the right surgeon ? Roughly how many cases do you do, as i very interested in you? Thanking you for your time .
A. Thank you for your inquiry. I am afraid that there is no full proof mechanism to identify the Right surgeon for everybody. Discussing with the surgeon in consultation we giving an indication of your ability to communicate with him or her, and if possible to see some results of the previous treatments that may have carried out. It is sometimes useful to discuss with previous patients treated by the surgeon. In terms of number of operations, at present, I do approximately 100 rhinoplasty procedures per year.

Q. I have recently had a rhinoplasty. 5 days before the procedure the nurse took some blood samples. Do they actually check if I had epatite and HIV?

Q. I went to see a rhinoplasty surgen and asked if he could reduce the side of my nose tip but he said it was to hard because reducing cartielge is hard to get even results? Is there a second option you could give if it is possible that you could preform the reduction?
A. It is possible to reduce and reshape the cartilages in the tip of the nose and achieve even results. I am not entirely sure what the conversation that you had, but there may have also been reference to the fact that when the nasal tip skin is also thick, it is more challenging to achieve strong definition and narrowing for the nasal tip.This

Q. I broke my nose earlier this year and have had difficulties breathing since particularly at night. My doctor has informed that I have deviated my septum. Q. Im interested in having a nose surgery done. Im a dark skinned person of African origin looking for a surgeon with experience in performing rhinoplasty on dark skinned people. Have you ever performed cosmetic surgery on dark skinned person before and can you get good results?

Q. i have had cartilage graft on my nose a year ago.but i absolutely regret what i have done in terms of design.and i wanted a surgeon to either straighten the bridge but apparently it is too much work.I have a really wierd small bump at the top of my nose.So instead can i have that rasped without having to open the whole bridge cartilage?I cant travel far and i am really worried because i just believe these surgeons are taking my consultation fee without helping me?theres too much nostril flare.i had a surgeon who could take care of that but i also want him to shave that tiny bump? do you think i could have it removed easily?and as i am from the north west is there any revison rhinoplasty doctors you would recommend?
A. Thank you for your inquiry. Is difficult to give your advice on this subject without seeing the exact degree of problem. A cartilage graft placed on the bridge of the nose cannot typically be filed / rasped, as the material does not lend itself to this type of treatment. It would require either removal, or removal/reduction and repositioning. When you refer to flaring of the nostrils, I am not sure whether you need increased visibility of the nostrils from the front or wide alar base (nostril base). Either can be addressed, but through different techniques.

Q. I did rhinoplasty in qatar by dr. kamal saleh consultant plastic surgeon before 1 months,the nose still there is swelling,the doctore tell me that it needs 6 months to resolve?
A. Thank you for your inquiry. It is true that following rhinoplasty it takes at least 6 months for the swelling to settle down, and often longer. Sometimes, it is possible to reduce some of the swelling using steroid injections, but most of the time pressure massage if sufficient.
