Q. For years I have suffered with extremely fat knees, I have not shown them for years!! How much would it cost to have the fat removed?

A. hi there. sometimes when we see someone with fatty knees we perform liposuction on them. Q. Hi Adrian, i had vaser lipo to my upper arms in September last year in Nottingham , instead of getting the result i hoped for i now have very saggy skin and deformed looking arms, I feel i will never be able to wear anything sleeveless again, I am considering an armlift which i hope will give me th edesired look and the confidence to wear short sleeves or a swimming costume for example I am 52 yrs old and now left with very low self esteem, i am a dancer so my arms are very important, what is your veiw please?would you be able to gain a good result for me?

A. Thank you very much for your enquiry unfortunately after Vaser liposuction it is sometimes possible to have excess skin in the region. This is because the Vaser liposuction removes the fatty elements in the tissue but does not necessarily do with the skin which can be slightly loose in the region.   And generally the end way to treat the excess skin is with the skin tightening procedure such as the thermage or with removal via surgery of the skin.   I do perform a number of this skin reducing operations but they do have the disadvantage of leaving a scar normally along the inside of the arm as it lies against the body.   Please have a look at our website  http://aurora-clinics.com.uk where you’ll find lots of informations on this procedure. Q. Im 30 yrs old and am very consious regarding my breasts, i have lost approx 3 stone, it has left my breast with stretch marks and saggy skin, and also droppy, i never get them out and feel very embarrassed about it can i cn help for this so i can be confident and normal?

A. Thank you for your inquiry.   In terms of the breast shape, a mastopexy or breast uplift procedure is the technique able to restore a younger and more proportionate appearance.   Unfortunately, it does also involve scars around the nipple areola in its new position, particularly under the nipple areola, and most likely in the crease under the breast. You would need to discuss this in a consultation in order to be fully confident that your concern regarding the appearance of the breasts with not shift from the shape to the scars.   Having said that, mastopexy following weight loss seems to be a very gratifying intervention for a lot of women.

Q. I have been struggling with stretch marks on the inside and outside of my thighs. I would also like to re-shape my thighs and buttocks. Will a thigh and buttocks lift help with the stretch marks? How much improvement can I expect with the over all look?

A. If it’s just the stretch marks that bother you, have you considered a dermaroller? You do need about 3-5 treatments depending on how bad the stretchmarks are. Surgery is, of course, a lot more expensive, and the final results of surgery lead to less saggy skin rather than less stretchmarks.  I really have found that the dermaroller is the best treatment for stretchmarks so please do come in a and pick up a leaflet on it

Q. I have love handles and a flabby stomach I am 43 yrs old 5 ft 7 and just under 13.0 st have had male breast removal surgery but it has left me with saggy skin and also (now that I am a little fatter) some flab around my sides and chest. Can you tell me how much it is likely to cost for a full tummy tuck and secondly whether it is possible to do anything for the droopy skin and how much that is likely to cost(This will need some liposuction).

A. Thank you for your inquiry.   One of the more recent additions to the types of energy-assisted liposuction, is the radiofrequency-assisted technique (Bodytite). The advantage of this approach is that it generates some tightening in the tissues treated, and because of that it will avoid formal skin excision in some instances.   It would be necessary to have a consultation in order to give you the exact evaluation of the benefits that you could expect from such a treatment, and whether it would be possible to avoid an abdominoplasty altogether, or to limit the amount of skin reduction to a small area in the suprapubic region. It would also be possible to use this tool to improve on the result of the gynecomastia correction.

Q. hi i am not really sure which of these procedures would be needed for my problem which is that i have which i call saggy skin from my eyes extending to my cheek which is only slight but outside can be seen clearly i think they are referred to as festoons but cannot find any information or pictures referencing my problem after some reading about on the internet i believe that the eye lid surgery may not actually remove the saggy skin lines im not even sure they should be called that as i am only 24 but these lines are bothering me and i do have some puffiness under my eyelids but this is less concerning over the lines from eyes to under my cheek if someone could maybe suggest what may be the ideal procedure it would be great.

A. I’m sure you’re aware that 24 is quite a young age to have festoons, and this is something that we more commonly see in people who are much older than you. For that reason we would probably want to have a careful look at things before we make any recommendations. We have a number of options available for treatment but all of them may not be suitable for you. Sometimes we can’t do anything for a few years, and sometimes we can do something a little more minimal for a slight improvement. However, as I say, we really need to see you. I think because your situation is a little unusual, being only 24, it’s not possible to give you much of a clear answer without seeing you, I’m afraid. Sorry.

Q. I have lost massive amount of weight but am left with loose skin. What can be done? I have been considering taking action for quite some time as I used to be very obese (24 stone+), and after losing substantial weight I am left with awful sagging and stretch marked skin (especially in the abdominal area) and noticeable man breasts. I am currently on a fact finding exercise to get this sorted and wanted somebody to run me through what can be realistically achieved?

A. Well done for losing so much weight. After massive weight loss, you’re left with excess skin, because your skin loses much of its elasticity. Many women in your position want to have a better silhouette and that’s where body reshaping surgery can help. You can certainly have a tummy tuck, breast uplift (and breast implants if you feel you’ve lost a lot of tissue from the breasts as well as having saggy skin) and the idea behind the operations is to make you look better.  You’ll always have some fullness and excess skin but you should look better after any surgery and hopefully you’ll be more confident about your body too.
