Q. Hi. I have a small tattoo of my name on the bottom of my forearm,its about half a cm by 2 cm, in size and would like it removed,what sort of cost would this be to have it removed, many thanks
A. Thank you for your enquiry, regarding the possible removal of the tattoo from your arm and generally the best way to doing this is with the Laser therapy which will reduce the pigment in the area. Unfortunately, we do not perform this treatment but if you look for a reputable internet provider in your area they should be able to discuss the best way forward for you. If they feel they are not able to help, I do occasionaly remove tattoos surgically and this care could be done although it would leave a scar. Q. I have a small seahorse tattoo on my (L) shoulder blade about 1 1/2inch long and would like it removed. The main colours are blue and green and understand the latter being a difficult colour to remove. What does the surgical procedure entail for removal and is it removed in one procedure or does this take many? regards
A. You have a couple of options for tattoo removal – laser and excision. Excision is performed so that you have as small a scar as possible and sometimes it takes more than one treatment to do this, and each time you have surgery you have a cost associated with it. If there’s enough laxity in the skin to remove it in one go then we would go ahead and do that, but it’s difficult to know exactly what we can do without seeing you. A. Hi – for tattoos we have two options: surgery and laser. Laser costs from £100 per treatment and surgery costs from £450 per treatment. If it’s light green then you might be better off having surgery as the laser doesn’t work as well for green tattoos as it does for blue tattoos. A. Hi – yes you can have surgery on the same day and we can either do laser tattoo removal or we can do surgical excision. If you’re interested in treatment on the same day then I need to see you and book you in for treatment on the same day, rather than just do a consultation on the day.
