Q. Id like to ask you about the Abdominoplasty procedure please. How noticeable will the scars be that remain after the incisions you make to remove the area of hanging skin? Do they require any follow up consultations to have the areas treated?

A. Thank you for your email. The scar is placed within the ‘bikini line’. It takes 6 months to 18 months to become soft,supple and matured. We would like to see you within 10 days following tummy tuck for change of dressing. We swould like to see you at the end of 6 weeks, 3 months and 6 months for routine follow ups.  We aslo advise you to massage the scar with moisturising cream.Tummy tuck may  require ‘resiting’/ transposition of the tummy button. If the muscle tone of the tummy is weak then we have to release the tummy button ,tighten the muscles and remove lose skin from the lower abdomen. If there is deposition of fat into the flanks and upper abdomen then liposuction is a very useful tool to improve the body contouring. Q. How much would it cost for a tummy tuck and liposuction on 3 areas. Also how much fat can be removed from one liposuction treatment? Thanks

A.
