Q. I am 60 years of age and have bat wings. I have been told this is hereditory and that even with diet I cannot loose the dangling fat wings. I would also like a tummy tuck at the same time. Would it be posible to have both procedures together and does this save on the costs?

Q. Q. I am 40 years old and have had 4 children (3 caesareans) I am not overweight but have an overlap of skin on my tummy that I would like to lose. I suffer from dilated cardiomyopathy and wondered whether this would be an issue regarding surgery
A. Thank you very much for your inquiry. I’m afraid that often dilated cardiomyopathy is a relative contra-indication to surgery. This means that general anesthetics are not encouraged unless serious life threatening illnesses. Although your tummy is of concern to you, I don’t think that we’ll consider a life threatening condition and generally I advised against surgery. The reason for this is there may be at risk to your overall health and with your 4 children your health will be our primary concern.
