Q. I had a tummy tuck last year and was unfortunate to have some skin necrosis and wound healing problems. Thankfully all is now ok and I just need to have revision of the scar at some point which has not yet been discussed. I would like to have breast augmentation surgery next but because of the issues I have had dont feel the current surgeon is the best option for me. When we first discussed having breast augmentation with a breast lift he suggested a full anchor lift but now he says a doughnut lift is more appropriate. I voiced my concerns that a doughnut lift will not lift the breasts enough and I dont want to have to return in 2 years to have the work again. Am I right to be concerned about a doughnut lift versus a full anchor lift? Regards Gillian

You are right that a doughnut lift can leave some flattening of the breast tissue, and sometimes a procedure with a vertical scar rather than a full anchor lift would be more appropriate. A. Dear Danni. Liposuction to the thighs can be combined with a tummy tuck as one procedure. The cost of the tummy tuck is £5075 . Adding the liposuction can take the cost to about £7000 but this could be less if the liposuction area is small.This is the cost for the clinics in Leeds where I work. Q. I have multiple low abdominal incisions from 2 ovarian cystectomy, hernia repair and colposuspension. These scars are unsightly and tethered but of no concern to the gynaecologist who carried out my colposuspension. I have considered asking to be referred to another surgeon. How could these be treated?

Q. I had a tummy tuck almost 2 years ago and have now developed a keliod tummy button and dog ends on the lower scar on my abdomen am I a candidate for scar revision and how much does this roughly cost? I have contacted the previous clinic where I had surgery but I cant say they have been particularly helpful to my situation.
A. To redo the Dog ears and belly button would be about £800 if we can do it under local anaesthetic. Q. I have alot of slack skin around my abdomen due to giving birth to my children. The area around my buttocks and hips look ok to me its just the area around the stomach where the skin hangs. Could this be removed with liposuction?
A. Liposuction is a good method of treating stubborn areas of fat that are resistant to diet and exercise, and it’s not so good for excess skin. If someone has skin hanging down from their abdomen, sometimes we consider a tummy tuck. There are two types of tummy tuck – standard and mini, and what we do depends on what you’re hoping to achieve and how bad things are.

Q. Since the birth of our two sons, I have struggled to regain my previous shape. I suffer with an underactive thyroid and take medication (levothyroxine) to control this. Will the fact I am on medication be an issue to changing my body shape? Q. Im due to have my gastric band removed in about 6 – 8weeks after sucessfully losing 45 stones in weight. I have been left with a large amount of saggy skin all over especially around the hips, stomach and buttocks. Would I be able to have liposuction to clear this weight. Is there a weight restriction on having liposuction surgery?
A. You would need skin reduction surgery and not liposuction as liposuction will leave you with ever saggier skin. A tummy tuck or a body lift shoulkd address these areas

Q. Could I have an arm lift at the same time as having a tummy tuck. I believe this will lower the costs of having both procedures seperately. Can this be done?
A. Thank you for your enquiry. It is indeed possible to combine an arm lift procedure and abdominoplasty (tummy tuck). I would advise in this case however to project for at least a 2 week but better a 3 week period for return to work, as this means more areas need to heal in order for you to feel comfortable.
