Q. hi, I am considering liposuction, but i am very interested in vaser lipo. I have dieted all my life, and tried many different diets, but i can never seem to shift the fat in my upper legs, hips and tummy, or i shift it for a while but always seems to stop at a point and soesnt shift. I am 5ft 2 and am in between, 10.7 and 11.2. what surgery do you suggest and how much would it cost for then areas. many thanks….

Hi Adrian, i had vaser lipo to my upper arms in September last year in Nottingham , instead of getting the result i hoped for i now have very saggy skin and deformed looking arms, I feel i will never be able to wear anything sleeveless again, I am considering an armlift which i hope will give me th edesired look and the confidence to wear short sleeves or a swimming costume for example I am 52 yrs old and now left with very low self esteem, i am a dancer so my arms are very important, what is your veiw please?would you be able to gain a good result for me?

A. Thank you very much for your enquiry unfortunately after Vaser liposuction it is sometimes possible to have excess skin in the region. This is because the Vaser liposuction removes the fatty elements in the tissue but does not necessarily do with the skin which can be slightly loose in the region.   And generally the end way to treat the excess skin is with the skin tightening procedure such as the thermage or with removal via surgery of the skin.   I do perform a number of this skin reducing operations but they do have the disadvantage of leaving a scar normally along the inside of the arm as it lies against the body.   Please have a look at our website  http://aurora-clinics.com.uk where you’ll find lots of informations on this procedure. As you know even though you are of slim build it is often difficult to reduce a pockets of stubborn fat at the top of your thigh region.  The best form of treatment for this in your case would be Vaser liposuction. Q. What are the cheapest and the safest methods for reducing fat? I am 34 years old (had 3 children) 52 height and weigh 10.5 stones. I am not happy with my weight as I was once 9 stones. What can you do to help?

A. Thank you very much for your enquiry. Generally the best way of removing fats is by natural means if possible. Generally I recommend to patients to look at their diet and exercise regime prior to performing any kind of surgery. However, if this measures are unsuccessful the best way, in my experience, in removing this  excess tissue is with Vaser therapy. In this treatment the fat is generally dissolved in with ultrasonic energy and then removed with  a small suction canula..
