Q. What is the recovery time from vaginal tightning surgery and how much pain will i be in? How long until i can have sex after surgery and how long will it hurt for?
A. The recovery from vagina tightening is relatively quick. You will be able to move around on the day of surgery. Some clinics do vagina tightening as a day case surgery. You should be given adequate pain killers, but pain threshold varies from person to person. If you use your painkillers regularly, this should be enough. You should not be in significant pain for any length of time. You may however have breakthrough pains from time to time, which may last more than two weeks depending on whether your stitches cause irritation or not. We usually advise sex after four to six weeks. It may be painful initially, depending on how tight the vagina becomes and how quickly you resume sexual intercourse after surgery
