What kind of breast surgery is available to make them firm and pert again?

Q. I had a breast augmentation after the birth of my daughter in 2007. Since the n my breasts have changed a lot; the shape is different and they look rippled. They also seem to be a lot lower than the used to be. I feel as though they have fallen very noticeably. What kind of breast surgery is available to make them firm and pert again?

A. We can certainly have a look at things for you and come up with a treatment plan. It may be that your skin has stretched, and you could do with a skin uplift or nipple uplift. If the breasts have lost volume since your baby was born, then sometimes we put in larger implants. You may want to talk about a combined uplift and larger implant. All breasts will droop with time, and even when we do an operation for an uplift, things drop after a few weeks (but not back to what they were like before). So, you have a few options and, as I say, it’s perhaps best discussed at a consultation.
