Plastic Surgery : Happiness And Confidence Are Achievable

Filed under: Body Contouring, Cosmetic Surgery News, Female Cosmetic Surgery — Tags: Belfast Telegraph, breast lift, cosmetic procedure, Cosmetic Procedures, cosmetic suirgery procedures, Gillian Lyttle, plastic surgery, Tummy Tuck — admin @ 11:40 am

Most people who consider having a cosmetic procedure contemplate many reasons to do so. One of the considerations at the top of their list is how the results of the plastic surgery will make them feel. When people feel that they look good they carry themselves differently. They stand straighter and exude a sense of confidence and happiness that is genuine.

This confidence is overflowing from Gillian Lyttle because plastic surgery has given her a happiness that she never thought she would ever achieve. She had been overweight for four years and weighed more than sixteen stone. She told the Belfast Telegraph that she had joined a diet club and had successfully lost five stones and four pounds. This loss of fat left a lot of loose skin and stretch marks so, though she was thrilled with being thinner, she still did not have the body that she desired.

To acquire the body that she dreamed of she had to turn to plastic surgery. She underwent a tummy tuck and a breast lift and has seen an increase in her happiness that knows no bounds. Being able to wear a bikini for the first time was an experience that she will never forget. The surge in her confidence level has made her life much easier and enjoyable. While she had been overweight she refused to date because she was afraid that anyone who asked her out was only trying to wind her up. She now has a boyfriend whom she met at work and is content.

Plastic surgery can have a drastic effect on a person’s life. Having a body which makes a person proud allows their confidence to grow substantially. Many people do not realize how much of a difference a higher self-esteem can have on a person’s life. Gillian feels better about herself and thus a strong confident aura surrounds her that can be felt by the people that she encounters throughout her day.

A Fresh New Year’s Resolution : Look and Feel Great With Plastic Surgery

Filed under: Body Contouring, Breast Augmentation, Cosmetic Surgery News — Tags: Body Contouring, breast enhancement, breast reduction, cosmetic surgery, Dr. Richard Chaffoo, exercise equipment, facial procedures, liposuction, liposuction procedures, New Year's Resolution, person's self-esteem, plastic surgery, surgical procedures, triple board-certified plastic surgeon, Weight Loss — admin @ 12:33 pm

When the new year comes around people begin to set goals for the next segment of their lives. Some decide to quit smoking cigarettes or stop eating so many snacks. Others get a new membership to the gym or buy exercise equipment. But now a new trend has arisen for these New Year’s resolutions: plastic surgery.

Dr. Richard Chaffoo, a triple board-certified plastic surgeon, indicated that people are seeking a fresh new look in the new year. In a press release he says that “Most New Year’s resolutions boil down to one simple desire: to look and feel more like the person you want to be.” Many people may have met their goals of weight loss for the previous year but when they look in the mirror they don’t see the thin fit body that they were looking for. They have exhausted their repertoire and are looking something to shape their body into the shape that they want.

The most popular procedures throughout the whole year are breast reduction and liposuction. New Year’s is no exception. An increase in the volume of breast enhancement and liposuction procedures is always seen at the beginning of the year. These procedures enhance the contours of the body and give the desired look that many people are looking for. Body contouring is exactly what a person is looking for when they have lost a significant amount of weight.

Most people do not realize how important the facial procedures are to a person’s self-esteem. When someone wants to look and feel great the range of facial plastic surgeries available can do just that. When loosing weight the face begins to thin out and become more angular, which is good. But the loss of fat cells in the face usually uncovers problem areas in the face that were not noticeable before, such as crow’s feet and gauntness in the cheeks. These features can easily be fixed with a face lift or eyelid surgery.

As each New Year approaches, the popularity of surgical procedures will increase, as people continue to search for that elusive feeling of well-being. Dr. Chaffoo says, “I see cosmetic surgery as a way to help people live to their full potential….simpler pleasures really are taking center stage and encouraging people
to take a fresh look at themselves.” Looking and feeling great is a very important aspect in a persons life and plastic surgery can make it a reality.

Fat Grafting: On the Rise

Filed under: Body Contouring, Cosmetic Surgery News — Tags: Add new tag, Anup Dhir, breast, Breast Augmentation, buttock augmentation, cheek implants, chin augmentation, cosmetic surgeon, facial modifications, fat distribution, fat grafting, fat grafting process, filling, liposuction cannula, Meenakshi Agarwal, Mumbai-based cosmetic surgeon, New Delhi's Apollo Hospital, plastic surgery, popularity sky-rocket, silicon implants, Times of India, transfer the fat — admin @ 4:53 pm

Anup Dhir is a senior cosmetic surgeon at New Delhi’s Apollo Hospital and his opinion is that fat grafting is becoming the ‘biggest thing in plastic surgery.’ He told the Times of India that the procedure is already popular but the first half of the 21st century should see this popularity sky-rocket.

The fat grafting process is a procedure in which fat cells are removed form one part of the body and placed in another part. Many people find that there is too much fat in some areas and not enough fat in others. Fat grafting will allow those people to transfer the fat and thus, have a body more suitable to their preferences. This procedure has been used successfully in facial modifications such as filling wrinkles, chin augmentation, and cheek implants. Recently, it has also been applied in buttock augmentation.

Use of this technique is growing in popularity in conjunction with breast augmentation. Women have reported that using fat grafting instead of silicon implants gives a different feel to the breasts. The are more smooth and natural to the touch and they look more streamlined. The genuine look of the breast is much enhanced with this alternative to silicon implants. These observations have been reported by a Mumbai-based cosmetic surgeon named Meenakshi Agarwal.

In fat grafting the fat is removed with a syringe that has a large bore needle or with a liposuction cannula. It is processed to remove impurities that may cause infection and then injected into the desired area of the body. The fat can also be cut from the area in strips and then placed in the desired area. Regardless of the
method used the effect is a natural look, and since the fat is not foreign to the body the possibility of rejection of the tissue does not exist.

If a person is looking for a shift in the fat distribution of their bodies then this procedure is the way to go. Many have already found this out and it is expected that many more will benefit from fat grafting in the near future.

Bigger Breasts and Smaller Tummy All in One Procedure

Filed under: Body Contouring, Breast Augmentation — Tags: bigger breasts, fat cells contain stem cells, fat grafting, free breast augmentation, harvesting fat cells, implant free breast augmentation, plumping up breasts, Smaller Tummy, woman’s bust size — admin @ 4:22 pm

A new type of cosmetic surgery called “fat grafting” is the latest attempt at getting ride of unwanted fat from some parts of the body while at the same time, plumping up the areas in need of curves.

This procedure involves removing fat from unwanted areas and injecting it into other parts of the body thereby accomplishing two goals at once. Though it sounds simplistic, in reality it is a surgical procedure that takes hours to perform and a skilled expert at the helm.

Fat transfer was originally pioneered as a way of offering implant free breast augmentation to patients. The concept involves harvesting fat cells through liposuction and injecting them into the breast tissue by means of hundreds of tiny droplets causing the fat to grow over time and increase the woman’s bust size naturally. Fat grafting also has potential for use on other parts of the body as well. Adult fat cells contain stem cells which can regenerate into collagen-producing cells to aid in skin texture and clarity. Though still in the trial stages, this fat grafting technique promises augmentation options without scars or incisions.

Dr. Roger Khouri is a microsurgery specialist who has been involved in administering a trial of the technique to over fifty women in the last five years with positive results. To those who are concerned about potential side effects, Dr. Khouri says “Nowhere has it been proven that fat is carcinogenic.” He touts the fact that this is an all natural procedure using the body’s own tissues and that it will last forever. Though more tests are needed to determine possible long term effects on breast cancer screenings, the future looks bright for this emerging technique.

Building New Breasts from Unwanted Fat - The New Technique Sweeping the Cosmetic Surgery Industry

Filed under: Body Contouring, Breast Surgery — Tags: breast enlargement, breast fat transferm, breast liposuction, fat grafting technique, fat tranfer breasts, New Breasts, Unwanted Fat — admin @ 1:32 pm

In an effort to kill two birds with one stone a revolutionary new fat grafting technique boasts the ability to take unwanted fat from one area of the body and graft on to an area in need of curves.

This technique promises to eliminate the need for unnatural synthetic implants and use the patient’s own genetic material to rebuild the body. Though the procedure is still in its trial stages, many plastic surgeons predict it will eliminate the need for implants altogether.

The benefits of using the patient’s own skin for breast and buttock augmentation are numerous. When real genetic material is used it makes the skin more supple and firm, causing the breasts to look and feel like normal breasts. Studies prove that this is a permanent solution and not a procedure that will have to be re-done over time. The additional benefits to the surgery are that the surgery delivers a “two for one” experience in that a patient could essentially get a tummy tuck and a breast augmentation at the same time, eliminating the need for two surgeries. Mel Braham, Chairman of the Harley Medical Group in the UK, has said, “This is the most exciting breakthrough in cosmetic surgery that I have seen in the last two decades.” Physicians in the UK hope to be able to offer this procedure to patients in the UK as soon as early 2010.

The chance to get two cosmetic procedures done during the same surgery is bound to attract a lot of people who have been thinking about plastic surgery. To alleviate the stress and cost of two separate dates in the operating room will appeal to those who are anxious about surgery and to those who are anxious about costs. However, the greatest advantage of this procedure is that the surgery will not have to introduce a foreign object into the body, and instead will enhance the body’s structure using the body’s own genetic material.

Moob Mountain Scaled

Filed under: Body Contouring, Cosmetic Surgery News, Male Cosmetic Surgery — Tags: breast reduction surgery, cosmetic surgery, liposuction, male breasts, man-boob, moobs, plastic surgery, Surgery — admin @ 3:26 pm

Once upon a time it was only women who were concerned with their looks and men had the enviable position of not being pressured as much by society to look a certain way. The 1980’s new man and now the metrosexual have put an end to all that and now men as much as women are under pressure, often from huge billboards advertising underwear, to fit into a stereotypical Adonis-like figure; for many men this can lead to cripplingly low self-confidence and a desire to use surgery to change and enhance their looks.

One of the main problem areas for men has always been the man-boob; most men can’t spend three hours in the gym every day getting the perfectly sculpted body which we now see in fashion shows and between the pages of magazines; a lifestyle of drinking and unhealthy food leads to a build up of fat around the chest area and these, rather cruelly, have come to be known as man boobs.  However, there is good news, as recent reports indicate that male breast reduction surgery is now much better and much more effective than it was a few short years ago.  Different liposuction methods are now being used which have been found to be much more effective and patients are less likely to experience the scarring which they had to live with in the past.

It seems that this news comes on the back of a sea-change in the male culture of this country. We are finally starting to make the connection between our binge-drinking culture and how we look physically; one in five men in a recent survey expressed concern that the amount they drank was starting to affect their physical appearance. The insecurity is not just limited to the infamous beer belly anymore, men are now becoming aware that their chests are being scrutinised by society as well.  Men undergoing breast reduction surgery some 10 to 15 years ago may not have been happy with the outcome, but the advances which have been made in the interim mean that many men are now being given a new lease of life. Of course, surgery should only be seen as the last resort; if you or your partner fear that man boobs may be starting to appear, simply cut back on the alcohol and try binging on salads and regular exercise instead!

Record Breaker

Filed under: Anti Ageing, Body Contouring, Celebrity Cosmetic Surgery, Cosmetic Surgery News — Tags: Breast Augmentation, Cindy Jackson, cosmetic surgery, Facelifts, liposuction, nose jobs, plastic surgery, Sharon Osbourne — admin @ 9:21 am

Most of us will have either considered, or will have undergone, some sort of plastic surgery. We will have had one nagging flaw or an insecurity which we felt needed sorting and we will have taken the necessary surgical steps towards correcting this imperfection. However, for some people, plastic surgery becomes more than a way of just correcting one or two minor faults; it becomes an entire way of life. This is certainly the case for Cindy Jackson, who holds the dubious record of having more cosmetic surgery than anybody else on the planet. But, far from being put off or quietened by her record-breaking number of times under the knife, she is now using her position to become a spokesperson and encourage more people to seek bodily perfection in the plastic surgery arena.

Jackson has offered advice to celebrities in the past, including surgery success stories like Sharon Osbourne and now she is turning her attention to regular citizens like you and me; her message is simple, that everyone and anyone should actively consider some form of surgical enhancement. She told Sky News:

“I’ve never met or been in touch with anyone who is totally happy the way they are”

She went on to tackle a big taboo in society that people, no matter what they say in public, are attracted to, and value highly, the concept of beauty.  She did say it was politically incorrect to make such a statement but her own good looks have given her “better chances” in life and she feels she has also gotten an “easier ride” because of her enhanced looks. Whilst this may be slightly true, it is certainly true that most people still value personality and contribution to society over mere looks. Where plastic surgery comes in is that it can help transform people’s confidence so that their personality shines through; if you feel beautiful, you will appear more beautiful and, for a lot of people, surgery is really the only way to correct not only physical flaws but mental doubts as well.

Jackson is well-known on the surgery circuit and is a veritable regular, having undergone nose-jobs, several facelifts, breast augmentation and liposuction procedures. Much of her body may now be unnatural, but her advice is down-to-earth and 100% real; if you’re unhappy with the way you look surgery offers you the chance to change yourself and change your life.

Beat the Baby Bulge

Pregnancy and the years when your child is young are amongst the most magical times in any person’s life and yet there will always come a time when you want to get back into shape and get your figure back.

Before, this was done with routine exercise and yet this never seemed to quite do the trick. There was always a little something left over which could not be toned away, which exercise could not get rid of for us.  The recent surge in “yummy mummys” and celebrities who seem to snap back into shape straight away after giving birth have also helped move us towards a place where surgery seems to be the only viable way of getting our pre-pregnancy abs back.

When we are pregnant, or even if we aren’t and are just a little overweight, our skin stretches and, when the weight drops back off us, we lose all the elasticity in our skin.  This can lead to sagging and an unflattering look which no amount of exercise will shift. The only real option is a surgical one; have the skin from a previous life and a previous you removed and start a whole new life with a fabulous brand new you.  One plastic surgeon from America, Dr. Jeremy Schreiber has spoken out about the trend, saying that:

“When all is said and done, the results are fantastic. You can expect a smooth contour to your abdomen as well as getting back the flat belly that you had before.”

Once the surgery has been performed then you can indeed begin, once you’ve recovered, on an exercise and diet regime to tone yourself but, if you don’t have the surgery first, you may well be wasting your time trying to work on untoneable areas.  It is often rumoured in the press that some women undergo caesareans and then tummy-tucks straight after; this, however, is certainly not advised. Another viable, and safe, option for some patients is to have a tummy-lipo; that is a tummy tuck and a liposuction procedure at the same time. This is great for getting contouring and sculpting back into the body and could really help any woman get confidence back after giving birth.  It’s not selfish to want your old body back; the happier you are the better equipped you will be to make your children happy!

New Breasts Bring New Wealth

Everybody knows the old saying that money can’t buy you happiness. Well, how about this one as an alternative. Money can buy you a dazzling pair of new breasts which, in turn, can bring you even more wealth and, perhaps, a little bit of anti-recession happiness as well!

Research has been carried out which suggests, perhaps quite obviously when you consider the idea logically, that having an enhanced bust-line can help in a person’s bid to become famous and can thus, in the long run, mean that they earn a lot more money.  Colin Stewart is the man who pointed out this trend, saying that the two women from the two wealthiest celebrity couples have both undergone plastic surgery. So is this a quantifiable trend? Or merely a healthy, pert coincidence?

The two women in question in this research were Jordan, aka Katie Price, who has recently split from her singer husband Peter Andre, and Victoria Beckham, style icon and worldwide celebrity supreme. Both these women are incredibly wealthy and incredibly beautiful but, does their success owe anything to their surgeries or is it rather down to having a shrewd business head? Jordan’s early glamour modelling career was certainly down to her enhanced figure but, in the case of Mrs. Beckham one does feel that success and wealth was more to do with her Spice Girl associations and footballing husband than her always debated plastic surgeries; indeed it is not really known what surgeries Victoria has had which, I guess, is testament to how natural they look (if indeed she has had any at all). Indeed Victoria Beckham is even said to have had her large breast implants removed in an effort to change her image; she is rich from being a constantly moving style icon, not necessarily for surgery alone.

Indeed, if this research were true then one would assume that there were many more rich people out there than is actually the case. Breast Augmentations are constantly the most requested most performed surgery on both sides of the Atlantic; around 300,000 were performed last year in the U.S alone. There is no doubt that an ample bust can “enhance” certain careers, such as glamour models, but it is not the only thing needed to succeed. Surgery is a helping hand but, as Katie Price has proved, a good business head and a good agent are also needed.

New Surgery Numbers

We have always known that the U.S was the epicentre of the plastic and cosmetic surgery industries. Home to Hollywood, a country where everything is bigger and done on a much grander scale, America has now been revealed to be the place where plastic surgery is king.

New figures have shown that, in the year of 2008, a staggering 10 million procedures were performed on patients!  This is a stunning figure and is really testament to the wonderful work which plastic and cosmetic surgeons are doing up and down the country but also shows how much the industry has grown in recent years. Who knows what the 2009 figure will look like; well whatever it looks like, we assume the figure will be trim and toned!

The American Society for Aesthetic  Plastic Surgery is the body behind these exciting figures and they have also released some other numbers for us to sink our perfectly-veneered teeth into as well. Liposuction had long been the most popular surgery amongst women in the United States of America but this is no longer the case. It was beaten to the top spot in 2008 by breast augmentation surgeries which now have the esteemed accolade of being the most popular surgery amongst women.  Liposuction had to make do with second place; this marks an interesting shift in the types of treatments which patients are undergoing- perhaps having already attained good figures via liposuction they are now turning to the perfect pair of breasts as well.  The race was still quite tight though, so 2009 could see a photo-finish between the two surgeries as liposuction and breast augmentations fight it out for the top spot. The figures show that 355,671 breast augmentations were performed in the U.S in 2008, whilst the figure stands at 309,692 for liposuction procedures.  What these figures also prove is that a huge number of other surgeries, more than nine million, are taking place and that these must thus be spread over a huge number of varied procedures.

It’s not all bad news for liposuction though; it did stay the top procedure amongst men, with over 31,000 procedures being performed. Breast augmentations, however, remain the most popular surgery in Britain as well: there was a 30% rise in the number of them done in Britain in 2008! So it seems on both sides of the Atlantic that surgery is most definitely in!
