Passengers Are Being Offered Boob Job’s by Airline

Many airlines offer perks for passengers through frequent flier points. Passengers can get free hotel rooms, free plane tickets, and even free food. Now an airline is actually allowing passengers to use their frequent flier points to pay for boob jobs.

Finnair has started offering the option to exchange frequent flier points for cosmetic procedures, as part of the Finnair Plus Loyalty Service. The Finnish airline is capitalizing on the ever increasing popularity of cosmetic procedures. A free breast augmentation can be earned with 3.18 million points, roughly 120 round trip business class flights between Helsinki and New York. Finnair is working in conjunction with the Nordstroem Hospital in Helsinki. Cosmeticsurgeon reported that, the director for loyalty programs for the airline, Mikko Tuomainen, said, “The idea was to incorporate partners and services from all walks of life.” The airline would also like to extend the program to other health care areas as well.

Of course the airline offers other procedures through this program. These include face lifts and hair replacement. Men and women alike can benefit from this program. It is another way to help people to pay for the bodies that they want. Plastic surgery is a very popular thing and many businesses are seeing that, by embracing cosmetic surgery they may be able to benefit from its popularity.

Some women have found that they can also earn their boob jobs through raising the funds on-line. Louis Aldridge form Swindon was able to do just that. She had been unable to get a loan for breast augmentation, so she turned to a website that would allow her to get donations from people all around the world. She was able to raise ,4,000 and underwent a procedure to get her breasts augmented from a 32B to a 32E.

Breast augmentation was the most popular procedure during 2009 for women. In fact the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons reported that 8,537 breast augmentations were performed on women in the UK, during that year. This is nearly 26 percent of all procedures received by women. Women wanting a boob job in 2010 will have many options available to them to raise the money for it. There are now loans, frequent flier plans from an airline, and even fundraisers for plastic surgeries.

For a Natural Look : Silicone Implants

Filed under: Breast Augmentation,Breast Implants,Breast Surgery,Cosmetic Surgery News — Tags: American Society of Plastic Surgeons, Breast Augmentation, Breast augmentation surgery, plastic surgical procedure, silicone implants — admin @ 7:53 pm

Many women are not satisfied with the way that their breasts look. Most would like them to be bigger and thus they consider having breast augmentation surgery. This particular plastic surgical procedure has remained the most popular procedure for many years and is most likely to stay in the number one position for many more. Of the different choices of implants most women would agree that the silicone implant feels the most natural.

Brian Braithwaite, a board-certified surgeon and active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, said, “The majority of my breast augmentation patients choose silicone implants…. My patients are extremely happy with their silicone implants and do not regret choosing silicone over saline.” Dr. Braithwaite, himself, believes that silicone implants are indeed better than saline, however he presents
both of the types objectively to his patients. After feeling the example that he offers them, during the consultation, most women choose the silicone without prompting.

Silicone implants have a more natural feel to them. They are made with a silicone plastic cover filled with silicone gel. Saline implants also use a silicone plastic shell but are filled with a saline solution instead. The silicone gel has been continuously improved to make it feel more natural. It is very soft and has a smooth texture. The gel has a property that allows it to ‘stick’ to itself thus the implant is similar to tissue cells that ‘stick’ to each other. Many women say that the saline implant feels more like a water balloon than a breast.

Not only are women choosing silicone implants for their breast augmentation but they are also trading in their saline implants for the better silicone ones. Dr. Braithwaite said of those women who switched, “To date. all ‘my’ patients have been very pleased with their decisions and no patient has had any regrets about the switch to silicone. Virtually all these patients are amazed by the improved look and feel of their new implants.” Switching to silicone seems to have made a lot of women more satisfied with their breast augmentation.

According to the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, 8,537 UK women underwent breast augmentation in 2009. This makes up nearly 26 percent of all surgical procedures. 2010 will surely have a large number of breast augmentations as well. Women who want a soft natural feel for their implant are advised to choose silicone, but surely they will figure that out for themselves by merely touching the
samples.

2010 to Have Record Boob Jobs

Filed under: Body Contouring,Breast Surgery,Cosmetic Surgery News,Female Cosmetic Surgery — Tags: asymmetrical breasts, boob jobs, Breast Augmentation, breast augmentations, Breast Implants, breast tissue, British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, contours of the body, cosmetic surgeries, plastic surgery, saline implants, silicone gel implants, silicone implants — admin @ 7:52 pm

Plastic surgery is a great way for women to get the body that they want. The contours of the body can be sculpted to any shape that is desired and even the face can be altered in a great many ways. Boob jobs have proven to be the most popular surgeries in previous years and surgeons expect 2010 to be no different.

The British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons has reported that breast augmentation has been the most popular procedure in plastic surgery for many years. In fact, the reports from as far back as 2004 show that the number of breast augmentations in the UK was higher than other procedures. Of all the cosmetic surgeries that women received in 2009, nearly 26 percent were breast augmentations.

Breast augmentation is a procedure that increases the breast size or corrects asymmetrical breasts. It is most often achieved by putting an implant under the breast tissue or the chest muscle behind the breast. There are two main types of implants used. Saline implants have a silicone rubber shell that is filled with a
saline solution. Silicone implants also have the silicone rubber shell, but are filled with a silicone gel instead. Many women find that the silicone implant looks and feels more natural.

Improved surgical techniques and technology have helped in making breast augmentation even more popular. New processes in making silicone gel has made it much more cohesive so that it sticks to itself. This helps to create the same feeling as tissue cells sticking together. Techniques available today allow the
surgery to be done through small, inconspicuous or hidden incisions. The procedures are quicker, less painful, and have a greatly reduced recovery time. Paul Collins, editor at BuyAssociation, says, “There’s always innovation-there’s always new techniques coming forwards and new techniques in recovery as well.”

The new year has once again encouraged women to consider having plastic surgery. Dr. Richard Chaffoo, a triple board-certified plastic surgeon, indicated in a press release that “Most New Year’s resolutions boil down to one simple desire: to look and feel more like the person you want to be.” The most common resolutions for women in 2010 revolved around improving their bodies. Some vowed to get a new membership at a gym where as others decided to buy exercise equipment themselves. Still others are deciding that plastic surgery is the way to go.

A study by the GoodSurgoenGuide revealed that over fifty percent of women were considering to have plastic surgery in 2010. If previous years are any indication of what to expect, we can be sure that many of these procedures will be breast augmentations.

Feel Like Someone New With Breast Augmentation?

Ashley Alongi has stated that she feels like a totally new person after having a breast augmentation. This might not sound too surprising since many people claim to feel fresh and new after cosmetic surgery, however this woman has a special story to go along with her statement.

Ashley was born with no breast tissue and went through life embarrassed by this fact. She spent much of her life trying to hide from everyone. She was disconcerted with her lack of breasts and never felt confident enough to pursue a relationship. Most women who undergo a breast augmentation want to increase the cup size of their existing breasts. Ashley wanted to increase the size of her non-existent breasts.

She told the Scottish Daily Record that she had always been hiding from her friends, family, and colleagues. She couldn’t go bra shopping with her friends because she couldn’t wear one. She wore baggy jumpers at school to hide the lack of breasts, because she feared being ridiculed and bullied. Her growing up experience was far from nice and would better be described as traumatic.

After finding that estrogen pills did not help her, she knew surgery was the only option she had. She had been told that she could get the operation on the NHS but upon seeing the waiting list of eight years, she decided to save her money waitressing and pay for a cosmetic procedure herself. At the age of 25 she was
finally able to save up enough money to climb out of the pall created by her less than 32AA breasts.

Her new 34DD boobs have been a huge blessing. She has more confidence than she had ever imagined possible. She loves to go underwear shopping and relishes wearing form fitting shirts. She is finally on the lookout for a relationship. She said to the Scottish Daily Record, “I am ready for love because at long last I love myself.” Her family has also called her ‘a new person’ since her surgery.

Accomplishing Two Goals at Once, Breast Reconstruction and a Tummy Tuck all in One Procedure

Filed under: Breast Surgery — Tags: Deep Inferior Epigastric Perforator, DIEP flap procedure, mastectomy, scarring surgery, trauma of cancer, Tummy Tuck — admin @ 3:41 pm

For women who have faced the trauma of cancer the last thing they are ready to endure is the psychological torment of a mastectomy.

Though foregoing the scarring surgery is not an option for some, a new surgery that uses tissue from the abdomen to rebuild the breast is promising many a reconstructive procedure that will rebuild their breast and give them a tummy tuck at the same time. The recovery time is quick and the patient reports have been overwhelmingly positive for this type of surgery.

The procedure is called Deep Inferior Epigastric Perforator (DIEP) flap procedure and involves taking skin and fat from the abdomen and transplanting it to the breast through a microsurgery procedure that promises more youthful, firmer breasts. An additional added benefit is that the breasts will age naturally with the body. Because the procedure preserves muscle, the recovery time is quicker and less painful for the patient.

Dr. Michael Saint-Cyr, assistant professor of plastic surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center confirms the study’s findings by saying: “The DIEP flap procedure can offer women seeking breast reconstruction after a mastectomy some of the advantages of a more natural breast with the effects of a tummy tuck. Although it is a more complex surgery, it preserves muscles for quicker recovery and less postoperative pain.” One of the major advantages to this procedure is that it can be done immediately after the mastectomy and alleviate the psychological aspects of preparing for an additional surgery.

For women facing the pain of a mastectomy the promise of a surgery that can not only reconstruct what they have lost, but give them the added benefit of a tummy tuck is a good one. One patient who had to undergo a double mastectomy opted for the procedure stating, “The goal was to go to sleep with two breasts and wake up with two breasts.” To have the mastectomy and the reconstruction done all at once was a relief to the patient who feared recovery from one surgery while she faced another.

Though the procedure is gaining popularity, there are still only a few surgeons who are trained to perform it so a patient should prepare to locate and travel to a trained doctor for surgery.

Building New Breasts from Unwanted Fat – The New Technique Sweeping the Cosmetic Surgery Industry

Filed under: Body Contouring,Breast Surgery — Tags: breast enlargement, breast fat transferm, breast liposuction, fat grafting technique, fat tranfer breasts, New Breasts, Unwanted Fat — admin @ 1:32 pm

In an effort to kill two birds with one stone a revolutionary new fat grafting technique boasts the ability to take unwanted fat from one area of the body and graft on to an area in need of curves.

This technique promises to eliminate the need for unnatural synthetic implants and use the patient’s own genetic material to rebuild the body. Though the procedure is still in its trial stages, many plastic surgeons predict it will eliminate the need for implants altogether.

The benefits of using the patient’s own skin for breast and buttock augmentation are numerous. When real genetic material is used it makes the skin more supple and firm, causing the breasts to look and feel like normal breasts. Studies prove that this is a permanent solution and not a procedure that will have to be re-done over time. The additional benefits to the surgery are that the surgery delivers a “two for one” experience in that a patient could essentially get a tummy tuck and a breast augmentation at the same time, eliminating the need for two surgeries. Mel Braham, Chairman of the Harley Medical Group in the UK, has said, “This is the most exciting breakthrough in cosmetic surgery that I have seen in the last two decades.” Physicians in the UK hope to be able to offer this procedure to patients in the UK as soon as early 2010.

The chance to get two cosmetic procedures done during the same surgery is bound to attract a lot of people who have been thinking about plastic surgery. To alleviate the stress and cost of two separate dates in the operating room will appeal to those who are anxious about surgery and to those who are anxious about costs. However, the greatest advantage of this procedure is that the surgery will not have to introduce a foreign object into the body, and instead will enhance the body’s structure using the body’s own genetic material.

Breast Re-Growth Offers Aleternatives for Mastectomy Patients

Filed under: Breast Surgery — Tags: breast reconstruction surgery, congenital deformity, human breast tissuem, Neopec, re-growth of human breast, reconstructive surgeries — admin @ 10:55 pm

Cancer patients have had to deal with costly treatments and reconstructive surgeries to replace a breast lost to the devastating disease.

However, new research with stem cells is showing promising results in the re-growth of human breast tissue. A revolutionary new procedure called Neopec is showing results and may become widely available as an alternative to breast reconstruction surgery as soon as three years from now.

Professor Wayne Morrison at the Bernard O’Brien Institute in Melbourne, Australia has been heading up a team of researchers who have had positive results in the regeneration of breast tissue in pigs. The procedure works by implanting a chamber that will then act as a scaffold to hold and shape the growing tissue.

A blood vessel from the underarm region of the patient is moved to be attached to the patient’s fat cells inside the chamber, the fat is then injected with a gel made of the patient’s own cells that helps to generate tissue production. As the tissue grows and expands, it fills the chamber and causes the biodegradable scaffold to dissolve away. With its own blood supply, the newly formed breast is completely functional with normal sensitivity.

Human trials will begin shortly. The future of this surgery could expand beyond the use of cancer survivors to include cosmetic surgery and trauma victims as well. Professor Morrison affirmed its use for plastic surgery in saying: “If it is satisfactory we could use this method to treat any type of contour defect, whether it is a breast, a congenital deformity or trauma.” Because the end results of the procedure are natural re-growth of tissue, patients can experience augmentation without invasive implants or the side effects of having a synthetic product residing in the body.

The additional benefits of the Neopec procedure are that it is permanent and will not need to be re-done or monitored for leaks or abnormalities. Success in this type of surgery will ensure that breast cancer survivors need not face the rest of their lives with physical scars to remind them of the illness.

Size Does Matter – Dangerous Breast Implant Procedure Banned

Filed under: Breast Surgery — Tags: enlargement of the breasts, large breasts, Mounds breasts, polypropylene string breast implants, world largest breasts, world’s largest breasts — admin @ 10:16 pm

The world’s largest breasts have a place in the Guinness Book of World Records. American stripper Maxi Mounds and her size 61MMM breasts were awarded the dubious distinction in 2005 for the world’s largest breasts.

The only problem is that Mounds achieved this record through a dangerous, and now banned procedure called polypropylene string breast implants. In 2005 this procedure was banned in the US and the European Union over safety fears.

Mounds breasts weigh over twenty pounds each and measure 91.44 centimeters around. The surgery that gave her these massive implants is a tricky and controversial surgery. After surgery, the yarn-like implants absorb water slowly which causes a constant irritation to the breast tissue. The tissue then reacts by producing a natural serum that then fills the implant pocket causing enlargement of the breasts in an extremely unhealthy way. It is too soon to know what long term affects this procedure will have on the body, but the potential for dangerous, and even life threatening complications has warranted the ban.

Though this size of breast is rarely seen outside the adult film community, the sheer weight of the implants are a health hazard as they can cause back problems and nerve damage. Experts believe that the surgical implants can cause life threatening infections from the production of the fluid within the body. The long term effects of the procedure are still not known.

Breast Implant Bandit Apprehended with the Merchandise

Filed under: Breast Surgery,Weird and Wonderful — Tags: Breast Implant free, Breast Implant theft, breast implants have serial numbers, liposuction performed, old silicone implants — admin @ 11:14 pm

A would be breast implant bandit was apprehended after her old silicone implants gave her away.

Yvonne Jean Pampellonne had more than eight thousand pounds (15,000.00 USD) worth of cosmetic surgery done at a clinic in Southern California and then tried to escape paying the bill. Charged with commercial burglary, grand theft, and identity theft, Pampellonne will soon regret her new look.

The thirty year old used a stolen credit card and fake identity to have her ten year old silicone implants replaced with new ones at the pacific center for Plastic Surgery in Huntington Beach, California. She also had some liposuction performed and told the clinic that her real name was Cindy Payne. When she didn’t show up for follow up visits the clinic got concerned for her welfare and tried to contact her.

They soon realized what had happened when the true owner of the credit card called inquiring about the charges. Not willing to accept the loss, the clinic did some detective work of their own. It seems that all breast implants have serial numbers. By tracing the implants Pampellonne left behind the clinic was able to locate the surgeon who did the first breast augmentation. After contacting the police, the previous surgeon was shown a photo array from which he promptly picked out Pampellone from the group.

Though Pampellone eventually surrendered to the police and was released on bail, her story is one of caution to others who in their quest for fake boobs would use a fake identity to get them. Medical implants, whether they be silicone breast implants, plates used to fix a broken leg, or artificial hearts and pacemakers, all have traceable serial numbers.

Doctors will not be easily defrauded of their fees, as Pampellone found out. Pampellone’s attorney is convinced that a jury will eventually find her not guilty of the pending charges. Let’s hope so because her desperate desire for a new appearance may earn her some time in unflattering prison clothing where the cosmetic procedures she has learned to love are no where to be found.

Bigger than Big

Filed under: Breast Surgery,Cosmetic Surgery News,Female Cosmetic Surgery,Weird and Wonderful — Tags: 38KKK, bigger breasts, Breast Augmentation, Breast Implants, breat enlargements, buttock enhancement, cosmetic surgery, cosmetic surgery tourism, plastic surgeries, plastic surgery, Rhinoplasty, Sheyla Hershey, Surgery, world’s largest breast implants — admin @ 1:25 pm

For many of us plastic surgery is a one-step solution to remedying a problem which has troubled us for a long time. Be it re-enhancing our faces or covering up a receding hair line, once we’ve had the procedure and are happy with the results we tend to be much happier and thus walk away from the world of cosmetic surgery with a confidence boost and a much better life. However, for some people, cosmetic surgery simply becomes life, nothing is ever good enough. Nothing is every sculpted, or young or big enough. Getting addicted to plastic and cosmetic surgery can be dangerous and yet some people are still going back time and time again to enhance what doesn’t really need enhancing in the first place.

Sheyla Hershey, who already has the dubious accolade of having the world’s largest breast implants, is, if recent reports are to be believed, considering enhancing her bust even more.  Her cup size currently stands at a mind-blowing 38KKK and, if more surgery is on the menu, it seems the world records are going to have to be ripped up and re-written for this ravishing woman who doesn’t seem to be able to say when enough is enough.

However, the surgery might not yet happen, as surgeons in America have said that they are unwilling to perform the surgery as there are too many risks involved in increasing the cup size even further. This has pushed Miss Hershey to consider surgery tourism as, according to some reports, plastic surgeons in Brazil may well be more open to performing the procedure. As well as being entertaining, this story also highlights the dangers of cosmetic surgery tourism. If even in America, a land where anything and everything can be enhanced or smoothed over, doctors aren’t wanting to perform the surgery then this is probably a pretty good indication that it is unsafe. Surgeries may well be cheaper abroad but the level of care you receive may well not be as high as it would be if you stayed at home.

It isn’t just her breasts which have been surgically enhanced; Miss Hershey has had a whopping 18 plastic surgeries which range widely from rhinoplasty to buttock enhancement. She is also not alone in seeking bigger breasts; breast augmentation procedures are constantly the most popular on both sides of the Atlantic. But this story does the beg the question: How big is too big?
