Foot Cosmetic Surgery Becoming Increasingly Popular

Just as the rest of skin shows signs of ageing so do our feet.

There has been an increase in numbers of foot procedures in the UK, as women who strive to be stylish and fashionable use plastic surgery as a way to improve the appearance of their feet.

Experts report that recently patients have been requesting more and more toe and ankle correction procedures as well as Botox injections to the balls of the feet. Moreover, some female patients have ordered liposuction performed on the ankles of their feet in order to make them look more elegant.

“Some patients come through with short toes that they would like lengthened, or they want to have their ”toe cascades” [the curve at the end of the foot, from the big toe down to the little toe] improved, so that when they wear strappy sandals their toes don’t look out of place,” commented president of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons Nigel Mercer.

The trend is likely to have come from America, where foot correction procedures, such as toe straightening, shortening and lengthening, are popular among women who wear designer shoes.

Some celebrities are famous for wearing trademark sky scraping heels, such as Victoria Beckham, Gwen Stefani and Gwyneth Paltrow

  12. My advice, as someone who has X-rayed many hundreds of these operations Post-operatively,
(in another part of the country) is: HEY GIRLS NO-ONE IS LOOKING AT YOUR FEET! WHO THE HELL LOOKS AT FEET, APART FROM WEIRDOS? AT LEAST YOU CAN WALK ON THEM, WHICH IS MORE THAN SOME OF THESE POST-OP PATIENTS WILL EVER DO AGAIN!
I am not for a moment slating this hospital or surgeons – I don’t work with them.

BUY SOME COMFORTABLE SHOES, LADIES. MEN LOOK AT YOUR FACE, BUM, BOOBS, HIPS BUT NOT BLOODY FEET!!!!!!! GET A PSYCHIATRIST OR A TOYBOY.

  14. Hello, I had my big toe nail permanently removed a few years ago. Do you have a procedure of permanently ‘implanting’ a false toenail onto my toe? Thank-you in advance for any information you can provide me with.

  15. Hi

I wonder if anybody could provide information on a foot plastic surgeon in england. iIn the past I have always been told that nothing can be done with my foot deformity but understand that surgery progresses all the time.

Any info would be fantastic, Thanks
