Building New Breasts from Unwanted Fat – The New Technique Sweeping the Cosmetic Surgery Industry

Filed under: Body Contouring,Breast Surgery — Tags: breast enlargement, breast fat transferm, breast liposuction, fat grafting technique, fat tranfer breasts, New Breasts, Unwanted Fat — admin @ 1:32 pm

In an effort to kill two birds with one stone a revolutionary new fat grafting technique boasts the ability to take unwanted fat from one area of the body and graft on to an area in need of curves.

This technique promises to eliminate the need for unnatural synthetic implants and use the patient’s own genetic material to rebuild the body. Though the procedure is still in its trial stages, many plastic surgeons predict it will eliminate the need for implants altogether.

The benefits of using the patient’s own skin for breast and buttock augmentation are numerous. When real genetic material is used it makes the skin more supple and firm, causing the breasts to look and feel like normal breasts. Studies prove that this is a permanent solution and not a procedure that will have to be re-done over time. The additional benefits to the surgery are that the surgery delivers a “two for one” experience in that a patient could essentially get a tummy tuck and a breast augmentation at the same time, eliminating the need for two surgeries. Mel Braham, Chairman of the Harley Medical Group in the UK, has said, “This is the most exciting breakthrough in cosmetic surgery that I have seen in the last two decades.” Physicians in the UK hope to be able to offer this procedure to patients in the UK as soon as early 2010.

The chance to get two cosmetic procedures done during the same surgery is bound to attract a lot of people who have been thinking about plastic surgery. To alleviate the stress and cost of two separate dates in the operating room will appeal to those who are anxious about surgery and to those who are anxious about costs. However, the greatest advantage of this procedure is that the surgery will not have to introduce a foreign object into the body, and instead will enhance the body’s structure using the body’s own genetic material.

New Breasts Bring New Wealth

Filed under: Body Contouring,Breast Surgery,Celebrity Cosmetic Surgery,Cosmetic Surgery News,Female Cosmetic Surgery — Tags: breast augmentations, breast enhancement, breast enlargement, Breast Implants, breast lift, breasts, Colin Stewart, enhanced bust-line, Jordan, Katie Price, Peter Andre, plastic surgeries, plastic surgery, Victoria Beckham — admin @ 5:14 pm

Everybody knows the old saying that money can’t buy you happiness. Well, how about this one as an alternative. Money can buy you a dazzling pair of new breasts which, in turn, can bring you even more wealth and, perhaps, a little bit of anti-recession happiness as well!

Research has been carried out which suggests, perhaps quite obviously when you consider the idea logically, that having an enhanced bust-line can help in a person’s bid to become famous and can thus, in the long run, mean that they earn a lot more money.  Colin Stewart is the man who pointed out this trend, saying that the two women from the two wealthiest celebrity couples have both undergone plastic surgery. So is this a quantifiable trend? Or merely a healthy, pert coincidence?

The two women in question in this research were Jordan, aka Katie Price, who has recently split from her singer husband Peter Andre, and Victoria Beckham, style icon and worldwide celebrity supreme. Both these women are incredibly wealthy and incredibly beautiful but, does their success owe anything to their surgeries or is it rather down to having a shrewd business head? Jordan’s early glamour modelling career was certainly down to her enhanced figure but, in the case of Mrs. Beckham one does feel that success and wealth was more to do with her Spice Girl associations and footballing husband than her always debated plastic surgeries; indeed it is not really known what surgeries Victoria has had which, I guess, is testament to how natural they look (if indeed she has had any at all). Indeed Victoria Beckham is even said to have had her large breast implants removed in an effort to change her image; she is rich from being a constantly moving style icon, not necessarily for surgery alone.

Indeed, if this research were true then one would assume that there were many more rich people out there than is actually the case. Breast Augmentations are constantly the most requested most performed surgery on both sides of the Atlantic; around 300,000 were performed last year in the U.S alone. There is no doubt that an ample bust can “enhance” certain careers, such as glamour models, but it is not the only thing needed to succeed. Surgery is a helping hand but, as Katie Price has proved, a good business head and a good agent are also needed.

What Kinds Of Non-surgical Procedures Are There?

Filed under: Anti Ageing,Cosmetic Surgery News,Non-Surgical Treatments — Tags: breas lifts, breast enlargement, Breast Implants, breasts augmentations, Cosmetic Procedures, Facelifts, facial fillers, Fraxel Laser, Fraxel Laser treatment, Juvederm, laser liposuction, Laser treatments, liposuction, liposuction surgery, non-surgical breast enhancement, Restylane, Skin Care, skin rejuvenation, Stabilized, surgical procedures — admin @ 1:37 pm

When people think of cosmetic procedures the most common thing that will come to mind are surgical procedures such as facelifts, breasts augmentations and liposuction.

However, there are a variety of other cosmetic procedures that will change your appearance without having to turn to surgical options. Many of these will involve chemicals and lasers that may be used to enhance the appearance of the skin, as well as treatments such as Botulinum Toxins, which are used to rejuvenate the face.

These can range from dermal fillers, which are used to get rid of wrinkles to non-surgical breast enlargements using something such as Macrolane TM breast enhancement. At cosmetic surgery consultants there are a wide range of non surgical procedures that are outlined on the website. Some of them can be considered here.

Starting with Macrolane TM breast enhancement, this a form of non-surgical breast enhancement which is becoming popular because as it will increase the cup size of the breast without causing scarring. Macrolane is a gel that is made up of a hyaluronic acid called Stabilized, Non-Animal hyaluronic acid (NASHA), which is actually created naturally within the body.

There are also various facial fillers such as Juvederm, a form of dermal filler that aims to iron out wrinkles by injecting the Juvederm solution into the relevant area. As a facial filler it can be used as an alternative to surgical procedures such as facelifts. Likewise Restylane is also used to iron out wrinkles and to enhance the lips, and other lines that might appear on the face. It is a gel that is injected to add volume to the skin.

Laser treatments include procedures such as Fraxel Laser, which is another way in which wrinkles can be treated. Fraxel Laser treatment involves lasers being shined onto the skin to treat relevant areas whilst avoiding the surrounding areas. It requires an anaesthetic before the lasers produce microthermal zones within the skin; these are tiny columns that are created to rejuvenate the cells found in the tissue.

Beyond the ones mentioned here, there are many other non surgical procedures, which are outlined on various other parts of the website.

MYA is Sky-High

Filed under: Breast Surgery,Cosmetic Surgery News — Tags: breast augmentations, breast enhancement, breast enlargement, breast enlargements, breast implant, Breast Implants, cosmetic surgery, Cosmetic Surgery Advertising, Cosmetic Surgery Finance, cosmetic surgery industry, Leeds cosmetic surgery, MYA, plastic surgery, recession-proof — admin @ 4:04 pm

Despite the difficult economic climate which we are all facing up to as we come towards the end of the first decade of the 21st Century, some companies are still managing to stay afloat and even improve their business.

One of these success stories can most certainly be seen as MYA, the Leeds-based cosmetic surgery company.  The company has reported a 25% increase in enquires for procedures at the beginning of the year compared with the year before.  The increase demand for MYA’s service seems to point to the fact that the cosmetic surgery industry may well turn out to be recession-proof; the 1224 enquiries received since the start of year seeming to back up this notion.

MYA stands for Make Yourself Amazing and there certainly seems to be an amazing story behind these figures posted in the most turbulent economic times seen since World War 2.  John Ryan, the company’s chairman, has said: “The recession is a real thing, but with cosmetic surgery people regard it as a priority in their lives and they will forego a new car or a holiday to get it done. People feel it gives them the boost they require in difficult times.” This seems to sum up the public’s reasoning; they might be feeling down about the economy but many people are choosing to alter their appearance in order to give themselves an extra lift or indeed to give themselves an advantage in the jobs market. Looking good now matters to young professionals more than it ever did in the past.

Breast Enlargements seem to be the most popular procedure with 62% of MYA’s patients opting for this option.  It is not just patient numbers that seem to prove that MYA is defying the recession. It recently created 12 new jobs in Leeds through the creation of a new patient booking system and it intends to spend £1million on a new advertising campaign which will also be the catalyst to the proposed opening of 6 new clinics throughout the U.K.  This story is only made the more remarkable when you consider MYA is only one company and represents only a fraction of the cosmetic surgery market. When all the industry was considered together it is likely that the figures would be even more amazing and be undeniable proof that the cosmetic surgery industry is not only going to survive the recession but is going to come out of it perkier, fresher and fabulous.

Something Old, Something New

Filed under: Body Contouring,Cosmetic Surgery News,Female Cosmetic Surgery,Weight Loss — Tags: Breast Augmentation, breast enlargement, breast enlargements, breast surgeries, Breast Surgery, cosmetic surgeons, firm breasts, liposuction, perfect breasts, plastic surgeons, plastic surgery, plastic surgery for weddings, Surgeons, wedding dresses — admin @ 1:57 pm

In times gone by flamboyant, gushing gowns could hide any excess weight that might be stubbornly clinging to the bride-to-be wearer but changes in fashion mean that there are now not so many ruffles and plumages to hide behind.

This could be one of the reasons behind the rise in brides going under the knife before they walk down the aisle.  One company said it had already received a staggering 400 enquiries about plastic surgery for weddings since the beginning of the year! Interestingly, it’s not just lipo that these fabulous brides are wanting; they want breast enlargements as well so they can fill the tighter, less forgiving gowns which are now on the market.

The owner of the Mirror, Mirror bridal boutiques in London, Maria Yainnikaris, has commented how she has noticed a trend in women saying: “I need to wait for my fitting”. These same women then return with “very high and firm breasts”.  The catwalk has been seen as partly to blame, wedding couture is now big business and the current trend for slimmer, ‘body-con’ dresses is what the public is spending its money on.  Traditional wedding dresses were designed to be an un-sexual as possible, sexuality and the idea of the virginal bride were seen as clashing ideas.  Now however, the mounds of fabric and frills have gone the way of the virginal bride and now it’s all about the sexy, slim bride.  The manager of The Wedding Dress Shop, in Wimbledon, commented on the trend saying that: “…the trend is now influenced by delicate, fluid styles with lots of lace, thin spaghetti straps and no structure at all. There is one dress in particular that is impossible to wear without a perfect pair of breasts or a breast augmentation or lift. The dress has back cross-over straps so a bra is completely out of the question.”

However, surgeons cannot work miracles. Indeed, one leading practitioner has commented on this issue. He said that he had seen a rush of women who begin to panic as their big day approaches and thus come to demand unrealistic and unhealthy turnaround times. These women are being turned away and told that their expectations are simply too unrealistic. Looking fabulous on your big day is important, but so is feeling fabulous and you don’t want to have to run straight from the hospital bed to walk down the aisle!

Expert Advice

Filed under: Cosmetic Surgery News — Tags: Breast Augmentation, breast enlargement, breast implant, Breast Implants, breast lift, breast reduction, Breast Surgery, Celebrity Cosmetic Surgery, complementary treatments, cosmetic surgery, expert consultations, surgical procedure, under the knife — admin @ 9:06 pm

With the plethora of celebrities going under the knife, and the plethora of magazines queuing up to tell us about it, we may all feel like we are experts in the ups and downs of cosmetic surgery. Well, we most certainly are not.

The increasing number of people turning towards cosmetic surgery has led the industry to plead that expert consultations, with a certified and qualified consultant, are essential before making any decision to go under the knife.

“People obviously have to consider all of the options, all of the implications before they undergo any kind of surgery,” commented Paul Collins, the editor of Looking Good, before going on to add: “Breast surgery can have a psychological impact as well as a physical one, so it is very important to make sure that you’re going into these things for the right reasons,”. Such psychological implications of surgery are issues which initial consultations will deal with.

Whilst the industry has been cleaned up immeasurably in recent years, there are still a small number of shady operators who look to take advantage of people who are low in self-confidence but high in available cash. Your consultant should not seem like he is trying to rush you into any decision or force any procedures onto you which you are unwilling to have. Rather, they should take you through each step of the procedure you have come in to talk about and suggest, if necessary, other complementary treatments or treatments which may be more suitable than the one you originally desired. It is a huge physical and mental step to take and expert consultations are a vital piece of equipment to take with you as you begin your daunting and exciting journey.

Breast Surgery is amongst the most popular procedure for people to seek consultations on and many women do not realise what a big change to their life and augmentation or a reduction may well make. Nearly 8500 breast augmentations were performed in the U.K alone last year and this figure represents 8500 women who will now have a completely different approach to life. Not only will their body have changed but their lifestyle and their own mind will have changed too. This is dramatic for anybody and consultations are thus a vital part of the surgical procedure not only to advice but also to warn; what might seem like the dream in a magazine might not turn out so well in reality.

Saline Still Super!

Filed under: Breast Surgery — Tags: Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, boosting your breasts, Breast Augmentation, breast augmentations, breast enhancement, breast enlargement, Breast Implants, breast reduction surgery, breast surgeries, Breast Surgery, breast surgery patients, cosmetic enhancement, cosmetic surgery industry, Cosmetic treatment, Non-Surgical Breast Enlargement, saline implants, saline-filled implants, silicone gel implants, silicone implants — admin @ 1:52 pm

New research by the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery has discovered that breast surgery patients in the U.S are still favouring saline-filled implants despite the recent news that silicon versions have been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration.

The shockwaves such a decision was expected to send through the industry have clearly yet to materialise.  Breast Augmentations are always the number one cosmetic surgery performed both in the U.K and the U.S and thus it was thought that the introduction of silicone implants would have more of a noticeable effect.

The ASAPS surveyed 1746 of its members and discovered that patient preference was the number one reason why a disproportionate number of saline implants were being used in comparison to their silicone sister.  “The approval of silicone gel implants has expanded the options for women considering breast augmentation” confirmed the authors of the study, Rod Rohrich and Edward Reece, but they went onto say: “Nevertheless, obtaining favourable patient outcomes is usually not dependent on the type of implant as much as the use of patient-appropriate techniques by a qualified and experienced surgeon.”  Essentially, what they’re saying is that, whatever new innovations may be brought into the breast augmentation industry, the type of implant an individual patient receives will always depend on their individual case and how best to proceed for the unique case in question.  This is why it is always important to book an in-depth initial consultation with your chosen surgeon before deciding to embark upon a cosmetic enhancement.

The number of women undergoing Breast Augmentations has increased a mind-blowing 250% from 1997 to 2008 and, as the procedure comes down in cost and less and less stigma is attached to having a cosmetic treatment, this number is only set to increase. This can only be good news for the cosmetic surgery industry. Also, as the numbers of people having breast augmentations increases, so will the number of silicone implants being used.  The cult of celebrity introduced breast enlargement and reduction surgery to a new audience and now the craze has filtered down to normal members of the public. With more innovations and new inventions likely to revolutionise procedures even more in the coming years it is likely that results will come to look even more natural. You needn’t be down about your endowment anymore, boost your confidence by boosting your breasts today!

Teen Traumas

Filed under: Breast Surgery,Cosmetic Surgery News,Female Cosmetic Surgery — Tags: boob job, Breast Augmentation, breast enlargement, breast enlargements, breast surgeries, breast surgury, cosmetic surgery, plastic surgery, risky surgery, small breasts, small bust, teen surgery, teenage plastic surgery — admin @ 12:55 pm

Many teenagers complain that they don’t get given enough pocket money to be able to afford the new Topshop arrival they want, but one teenager from Preston is now being forced to defend the fact she received £4000 for a boob-job.

Amanda Ryan, resident of the Lancashire city, received the operation after her GP confirmed that Ms. Ryan’s small bust was causing her problems.

Critics have spoken out against the procedure, commenting that there must surely be a better way for people’s taxes to be spent but the feisty seventeen year old has hit back, commenting that she was fully entitled to public money for the operation. Indeed the girl’s GP did point out that the teenager’s jealousy and envy directed towards her peers with larger busts was bringing her down and meaning that Amanda was not able to enjoy life as much as she might.

Amanda has spoken out, saying that: “It was funded on the NHS but, as anyone who works in the NHS knows, you have got to have a very, very good reason and there are different funds for everything.”  A crippling lack of self-confidence is certainly a big problem for any teenager and the improvement to her life could perhaps be said to be beyond money; the message would certainly seem to be that improved confidence is priceless! Amanda’s money had originally been against her daughter having such a risky surgery and expressed the concerns any mother would. However she soon realised that her daughter would have got the surgery as soon as she turned 18 anyway and thus she chose to give her daughter the permission she needed to go ahead with the breast augmentation.

Breast augmentation’s are amongst the most popular cosmetic surgery in the U.K, although they are rarely performed on patients so young and through funding given by the NHS. Many patients opt to go private for their treatment and have to shoulder the large costs of the operations themselves.  Many different age-ranges, from older women wanting to give their retirement an extra-boost to young professionals wanting to give themselves perkier job-prospects.  Debates about whether or not the NHS should have funded the operation aside, surely everyone will agree that the fact that a young adult will now have the confidence to chase her life goals is a cause for celebration and proof in the value of cosmetic surgery.

New figures reveal a link between the increase in breast augmentation procedures and surging sales of bigger cup size bras.

Leading brands have reported that sales of D to G cup size bras have increased dramatically in last year‘s festive season.
Ultimo claims that bigger cup size lingerie sales have increased by 26 per cent in comparison to the year before. The company‘s chief executive officer Michelle Mone has noted that cup size 34FF has been one of its most demanded items recently.

“We have really tried to meet the increasing demand for bigger-busted women,” she revealed.

Lingerie retailers not only try to find ways to make it more accesible to men, but also respond to women following celebrities and having breast enlargement procedures by opening new branches such as Lingerie Academy at John Lewis.

Recently the media has been filled with images of glamour model Nicola McLean after taking part in a jungle reality show I‘m a Celebrity who has also had her breasts enlarged.

Inccreasing Demand for Combination Breast Surgery

Experts reveal that more women who decide to choose plastic operations to enhance the appearance of their breasts, combine lifting and augmentation procedures.

As suggested by studies, breast lift and augmentation operations have been considered to be the most popular plastic surgery treatments in the US in the last decade.

Cosmetic surgery specialist Dr John Osborn claimed: “Breast lift and breast augmentation are two very different procedures that are performed with different goals in mind,”

“However, the benefits of the procedures are complementary, so combining a breast lift with a breast augmentation is often the best way to achieve the complete breast enhancement many women are looking for.”

Breast lifts aim at reshaping the breast and reducing sagging, while augmentation increases volume and size, reducing flatness and making the breast look fuller.

Specialists claim that if a patient seeks to improve the shape and cleavage, but does not want to enlarge the breasts, a breast lift procedure can be supplemented with implants.
