57 Year Old Rabbit Breeder Spends ,10,000 to Look Like Jessica Rabbit

Some women have a celebrity that they worship, and would do most anything to look like her. For many women it is Angelina Jolie, Megan Fox, or Scarlet Johansson. According to the Jarkarta Post there has been a huge increase in the number of women wanting surgery to give them a figure like Beyonce and Jenifer Lopez. But for one women, it is a cartoon character whom she idolizes. The character is Jessica Rabbit, from the cartoon film ‘Who Framed Roger Rabbit.’

57 year old Annette Edwards, of Worchester, is a rabbit breeder. She loves rabbits and even bred a rabbit that holds the record, as the largest rabbit in the world. She has, however, taken her love of rabbits to a whole new level. In the film ‘Who Framed Roger Rabbit’, the main character Roger is a rabbit who’s wife is named Jessica Rabbit. Annette decided to get ,10,000 worth of cosmetic surgeries done, to look just like Jessica. In an interview with This Morning she said, “I just think she’s a very sexy cartoon.”

She went on a strict three month diet, eating ‘like a rabbit’, to lose enough weight. Then over a period of a week she underwent a wide range of procedures. She had a breast lift to approximate the characters bossom better. Then came a brow lift which tightened up her face a little. She also had Botox injections in her upper cheeks and a plastic implant in her chin. She is very satisfied with the result and loves to dress up as Jessica. She told This Morning that she does not dress like Jessica all the time, only for shoots. She said, “I am not Jessica at home, I’m just a normal person.”

Many people choose plastic surgery to give them the body that they have always dreamed of. Annette’s dream face was a cartoon character and she was able to get it, through cosmetic procedures. She said that her children think she is a little mad, but they are supportive. She told the Daily Mail, “Since I had it done I have had loads of compliments and I love the way I look now.”

Being able to achieve the body of her dreams has been a wonderful experience for Annette. When asked, on This Morning, about the money that she spent she said, “Yeah, well, you only live once. Do what makes you feel good.”

Plastic Surgery : Happiness And Confidence Are Achievable

Most people who consider having a cosmetic procedure contemplate many reasons to do so. One of the considerations at the top of their list is how the results of the plastic surgery will make them feel. When people feel that they look good they carry themselves differently. They stand straighter and exude a sense of confidence and happiness that is genuine.

This confidence is overflowing from Gillian Lyttle because plastic surgery has given her a happiness that she never thought she would ever achieve. She had been overweight for four years and weighed more than sixteen stone. She told the Belfast Telegraph that she had joined a diet club and had successfully lost five stones and four pounds. This loss of fat left a lot of loose skin and stretch marks so, though she was thrilled with being thinner, she still did not have the body that she desired.

To acquire the body that she dreamed of she had to turn to plastic surgery. She underwent a tummy tuck and a breast lift and has seen an increase in her happiness that knows no bounds. Being able to wear a bikini for the first time was an experience that she will never forget. The surge in her confidence level has made her life much easier and enjoyable. While she had been overweight she refused to date because she was afraid that anyone who asked her out was only trying to wind her up. She now has a boyfriend whom she met at work and is content.

Plastic surgery can have a drastic effect on a person’s life. Having a body which makes a person proud allows their confidence to grow substantially. Many people do not realize how much of a difference a higher self-esteem can have on a person’s life. Gillian feels better about herself and thus a strong confident aura surrounds her that can be felt by the people that she encounters throughout her day.

New Breasts Bring New Wealth

Everybody knows the old saying that money can’t buy you happiness. Well, how about this one as an alternative. Money can buy you a dazzling pair of new breasts which, in turn, can bring you even more wealth and, perhaps, a little bit of anti-recession happiness as well!

Research has been carried out which suggests, perhaps quite obviously when you consider the idea logically, that having an enhanced bust-line can help in a person’s bid to become famous and can thus, in the long run, mean that they earn a lot more money.  Colin Stewart is the man who pointed out this trend, saying that the two women from the two wealthiest celebrity couples have both undergone plastic surgery. So is this a quantifiable trend? Or merely a healthy, pert coincidence?

The two women in question in this research were Jordan, aka Katie Price, who has recently split from her singer husband Peter Andre, and Victoria Beckham, style icon and worldwide celebrity supreme. Both these women are incredibly wealthy and incredibly beautiful but, does their success owe anything to their surgeries or is it rather down to having a shrewd business head? Jordan’s early glamour modelling career was certainly down to her enhanced figure but, in the case of Mrs. Beckham one does feel that success and wealth was more to do with her Spice Girl associations and footballing husband than her always debated plastic surgeries; indeed it is not really known what surgeries Victoria has had which, I guess, is testament to how natural they look (if indeed she has had any at all). Indeed Victoria Beckham is even said to have had her large breast implants removed in an effort to change her image; she is rich from being a constantly moving style icon, not necessarily for surgery alone.

Indeed, if this research were true then one would assume that there were many more rich people out there than is actually the case. Breast Augmentations are constantly the most requested most performed surgery on both sides of the Atlantic; around 300,000 were performed last year in the U.S alone. There is no doubt that an ample bust can “enhance” certain careers, such as glamour models, but it is not the only thing needed to succeed. Surgery is a helping hand but, as Katie Price has proved, a good business head and a good agent are also needed.

Try Before You Buy!

Many people want to try cosmetic surgery but are put off by the fact that they can’t be 100% sure of what the results will be.

This is all set to change with new technology that can show women what the results of their breast augmentation will look like before they go under the knife. This is likely to allay the fears of thousands of women who dream of having the procedure but don’t want to end up looking disfigured or scarred like some of the patients they may read about in the weekly magazines.

The SD imaging allows women to see the likely results, note not the guaranteed results, of the breast augmentation procedure which they will be undergoing.  This means that discussions about the desired shape, size or position of the new breasts do not now have to be mere abstracted conjecture; visual images can back up any claims made by the surgeon and reassure each patient, or forewarn them as the case may be, as to what the end result will be.

Since the boom in cosmetic surgery began over two decades ago, breast augmentations and reductions have long been at the top of the treatment ladder; everyone wants the perfect pair.  The enduring popularity of the so-called ‘boob job’ is down to the fact that women of all ages and sizes want them. Indeed, as Dr. Tiffany McCormack has pointed out everyone “from young women, who never fully developed to the extent that they wanted, to older mothers who just lost a lot of the breast tissue … after say breast-feeding or pregnancy,” are going under the knife.

This imaging technology is not the only advance in the breast augmentation arena to have been made in recent years. Saline implants have burst onto the scene as a really successful and viable alternative to silicone implants for some women. However, for other, the more old fashioned silicone implants are still more appropriate.  But whatever the actual implant, whether you want bigger or smaller breasts, whether you want a lift after pregnancy or whether you want more ascetically pleasing nipples, the new SD imaging system will help women of all ages and sizes see the results of their surgery without a cut being made; it will give them a chance, visually at least, to try before they buy. That should certainly give the industry a lift!

Expert Advice

With the plethora of celebrities going under the knife, and the plethora of magazines queuing up to tell us about it, we may all feel like we are experts in the ups and downs of cosmetic surgery. Well, we most certainly are not.

The increasing number of people turning towards cosmetic surgery has led the industry to plead that expert consultations, with a certified and qualified consultant, are essential before making any decision to go under the knife.

“People obviously have to consider all of the options, all of the implications before they undergo any kind of surgery,” commented Paul Collins, the editor of Looking Good, before going on to add: “Breast surgery can have a psychological impact as well as a physical one, so it is very important to make sure that you’re going into these things for the right reasons,”. Such psychological implications of surgery are issues which initial consultations will deal with.

Whilst the industry has been cleaned up immeasurably in recent years, there are still a small number of shady operators who look to take advantage of people who are low in self-confidence but high in available cash. Your consultant should not seem like he is trying to rush you into any decision or force any procedures onto you which you are unwilling to have. Rather, they should take you through each step of the procedure you have come in to talk about and suggest, if necessary, other complementary treatments or treatments which may be more suitable than the one you originally desired. It is a huge physical and mental step to take and expert consultations are a vital piece of equipment to take with you as you begin your daunting and exciting journey.

Breast Surgery is amongst the most popular procedure for people to seek consultations on and many women do not realise what a big change to their life and augmentation or a reduction may well make. Nearly 8500 breast augmentations were performed in the U.K alone last year and this figure represents 8500 women who will now have a completely different approach to life. Not only will their body have changed but their lifestyle and their own mind will have changed too. This is dramatic for anybody and consultations are thus a vital part of the surgical procedure not only to advice but also to warn; what might seem like the dream in a magazine might not turn out so well in reality.

Getting life in proportion

Many people scorn breast surgery and say that the results never look natural and we all like to think we can easily spot women who have undergone augmentation or lift surgery.  However, one woman’s testimony is fighting back against this prejudice and is extolling the benefits of breast surgery.  Jemma Dodd, who worked as an executive in Lincolnshire, has told the Daily Mail of her quest to boost her confidence by undergoing the breast augmentation procedure.  Confidence is clearly a necessary and vital part of Jemma’s job and, as she commented, “looking good is an important part of feeling confident”. I am sure we would all agree with that statement and such an ethos is what prompted Jemma to strive to change herself.

In March 2007, Jemma took the decision to change her cup size to a 34/36 DD and she has admitted that she “loves” the results of her surgery. Before the operation she had very low self confidence and had always felt that “if you feel good in yourself than you will exude confidence”; Jemma is now living up to that mantra.  Ms. Dodd has also commented that she would recommend the surgery to anyone which is also testament to how much of a success she feels it has been and how much it has really changed her life. Many women suffer from a lack of self confidence due to self-perceived physical imperfections; Jemma’s story is testament to the fact that, for such women, there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Of course, it’s not just the regulars like you and me who are undergoing surgeries, the celebrities are at it as well and the breast augmentation procedure is one of the most popular over in celebville.  Big Brother star Aisleyne recently revealed that she wanted to enlarge her breasts even further. Her comments went on to highlight one of the possible dangers of plastic surgery when she commented that: “once you’ve had a taste, you just want more”. Whilst this may be good news for plastic surgery companies, you really should be wary that you don’t become dangerously addicted to your pursuit of physical perfection. Stories like Jemma’s are the good ones, a woman with low confidence given a boost by a breast augmentation, but there are also those who go one step too far.  We all need a lift, just don’t try and get too high!

Inccreasing Demand for Combination Breast Surgery

Experts reveal that more women who decide to choose plastic operations to enhance the appearance of their breasts, combine lifting and augmentation procedures.

As suggested by studies, breast lift and augmentation operations have been considered to be the most popular plastic surgery treatments in the US in the last decade.

Cosmetic surgery specialist Dr John Osborn claimed: “Breast lift and breast augmentation are two very different procedures that are performed with different goals in mind,”

“However, the benefits of the procedures are complementary, so combining a breast lift with a breast augmentation is often the best way to achieve the complete breast enhancement many women are looking for.”

Breast lifts aim at reshaping the breast and reducing sagging, while augmentation increases volume and size, reducing flatness and making the breast look fuller.

Specialists claim that if a patient seeks to improve the shape and cleavage, but does not want to enlarge the breasts, a breast lift procedure can be supplemented with implants.

Breast Sagging Not Caused By Breast Feeding

Women Often Turn To Cosmetic Surgery To Rectify The Issue

The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) has announced the findings of a new study which shed some light on why breasts go through ‘sagging’ (also known as breast ptosis) following childbirth.
The findings suggest that breastfeeding is unlikely to be the cause of breast ptosis, which is against what has previously been believed and has been consistently blamed for women deciding to undergo cosmetic treatment to remedy the issue. Instead, the likely causes are suggested to be age, BMI (Body Mass Index) and whether the person in question smokes.

The findings have been published in the September/October 2008 issue of the Aesthetic Surgery Journal, which is a publication of ASAPS. It is the most popular cosmetic surgery journal and has subscribers worldwide.

The study looked at 93 patients who had looked into cosmetic surgery between the years 1998 and 2006, all of which had been pregnant at some point in their life. Preoperative photographs were compared and a ranking applied to them depending on the level of breast ptosis. This was complemented with the use of interviews and consulting medical charts. The results showed that a majority of the patients breastfead, but 39 (36%) of the patients did not. Weight gain occurred during pregnancy in most cases with the respondents reporting histories of smoking.

By analysing the information, the researchers were able to determine that aging, a higher body mass index and a history of smoking were factors contributing to the sagging of breasts, along with larger breasts before pregnancy and a larger number of pregnancies. These are the factors that are causing more women to decide to undergo surgery to treat the issue.

The American Society For Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons point out that there is little data to suggest that breast feeding can cause ptosis.

“With this study, we hope to shed some light on the subject and correct any misconceptions,” said Brian Rinker, MD, a plastic surgeon from Kentucky and also the lead author of the study.

Recent reports pointed out that breast uplift surgery, which counteracts the effects concerning breast ptosis, have increased in both popularity and patient satisfaction in recent years.

Breast uplift surgery involves the removal of excess skin from the breasts, closing the gaps and moving the areola accordingly, resulting in a more youthful looking breast.

Patients Highly Satisfied with the ‘Fantastic 4’ of Breast Related Procedures

New US Study Shows breast lift and lift/augmentation have high satisfaction levels

The American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) will present findings at the Plastic Surgery 2008 conference later in the month showing that the main four breast-related procedures have high satisfaction levels in women.

Breast augmentation, lift, reduction and the surgery combining lift and augmentation all have positive results that improve the quality of life in patients, according to the study, which will be presented at the conference in Chicago (31st October to 5th November 2008).

This is the first research to include the surgeries for breast uplift and the combination lift/augmentation procedures, with previous studies focusing on augmentation and reduction. The results have shown that lift and lift/augmentation have such high levels of success that they in fact rival breast reduction and augmentation.

Eric Swanson, MD, ASPS Member Surgeon and study author pointed out that the new data fills in the gap that previous studies have left behind, “Many studies have shown breast augmentation and reduction are highly gratifying procedures for women, but until now we’ve had limited information on patient satisfaction for breast lift or combination lift/ augmentation”. He points out the satisfaction is high when the ‘vertical’ technique is used in the lift/augmentation procedure.

The study looked at 325 patients. They were interviewed concerning their breast procedures over five years. 99% of the patients would have the procedure again with 91% reporting that they have an improved sense of self-esteem. The overall patient satisfaction came to 96%. The mentioned ‘vertical technique’ was used on all patients.

As well as overall patient satisfaction, the study also explored the preferred breast shape for women, finding that most women liked the fuller contour at the top of the breast – “Naturally, breasts are fuller towards the bottom, but our study found patients want more fullness on top” added Dr Swanson.

He also pointed out that “Prior to breast surgery, women often ask about discomfort level, recovery time, and when they’ll be able to return to normal activities. With this study, we now have the answers, provided by patients themselves.”

Breast uplift involves reshaping the breasts so that they return to a more natural, gratifying shape. It is often used in conjunction with breast enlargement but it can also be perfumed on its own. Patients often undergo the treatment following the adverse effects of aging or childbirth/breast feeding.
