Getting life in proportion

Many people scorn breast surgery and say that the results never look natural and we all like to think we can easily spot women who have undergone augmentation or lift surgery.  However, one woman’s testimony is fighting back against this prejudice and is extolling the benefits of breast surgery.  Jemma Dodd, who worked as an executive in Lincolnshire, has told the Daily Mail of her quest to boost her confidence by undergoing the breast augmentation procedure.  Confidence is clearly a necessary and vital part of Jemma’s job and, as she commented, “looking good is an important part of feeling confident”. I am sure we would all agree with that statement and such an ethos is what prompted Jemma to strive to change herself.

In March 2007, Jemma took the decision to change her cup size to a 34/36 DD and she has admitted that she “loves” the results of her surgery. Before the operation she had very low self confidence and had always felt that “if you feel good in yourself than you will exude confidence”; Jemma is now living up to that mantra.  Ms. Dodd has also commented that she would recommend the surgery to anyone which is also testament to how much of a success she feels it has been and how much it has really changed her life. Many women suffer from a lack of self confidence due to self-perceived physical imperfections; Jemma’s story is testament to the fact that, for such women, there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Of course, it’s not just the regulars like you and me who are undergoing surgeries, the celebrities are at it as well and the breast augmentation procedure is one of the most popular over in celebville.  Big Brother star Aisleyne recently revealed that she wanted to enlarge her breasts even further. Her comments went on to highlight one of the possible dangers of plastic surgery when she commented that: “once you’ve had a taste, you just want more”. Whilst this may be good news for plastic surgery companies, you really should be wary that you don’t become dangerously addicted to your pursuit of physical perfection. Stories like Jemma’s are the good ones, a woman with low confidence given a boost by a breast augmentation, but there are also those who go one step too far.  We all need a lift, just don’t try and get too high!

Inccreasing Demand for Combination Breast Surgery

Experts reveal that more women who decide to choose plastic operations to enhance the appearance of their breasts, combine lifting and augmentation procedures.

As suggested by studies, breast lift and augmentation operations have been considered to be the most popular plastic surgery treatments in the US in the last decade.

Cosmetic surgery specialist Dr John Osborn claimed: “Breast lift and breast augmentation are two very different procedures that are performed with different goals in mind,”

“However, the benefits of the procedures are complementary, so combining a breast lift with a breast augmentation is often the best way to achieve the complete breast enhancement many women are looking for.”

Breast lifts aim at reshaping the breast and reducing sagging, while augmentation increases volume and size, reducing flatness and making the breast look fuller.

Specialists claim that if a patient seeks to improve the shape and cleavage, but does not want to enlarge the breasts, a breast lift procedure can be supplemented with implants.

Don’t be Swayed By Celebrities – Take Your Time To Decide

Filed under: Cosmetic Surgery News — Tags: Breast Augmentation, Breat Implants, Capsular contraction, Celebrity Breasts, cosmetic surgery, plastic surgery, women — admin @ 2:19 pm

Women invest millions in plastic surgery to get celebrity breasts.

There are many he risks and side effects related to breast implant procedures most women do not even consider. One example is loss of sensation in a breast, which can be caused by damage to the nerves that give sensation to the nipple. This condition might be temporary and sensation can come back up to 18 months after the operation.

Another side effect that can be faced is capsular contracture, which causes the scar tissue surrounding the implant, making the breast hard and deformed. These cases may be solved by replacing the breast implant.
There are many other dangers, such as infection, breaking of the implant as well as the risks associated with anaesthesia that is undergone before the operation.

Plastic surgeon and member of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons Mark Henley, recommends women to take everything into careful consideration before agreeing to a plastic operation.
Mr Henley claims: “No surgery or procedure is 100 per cent risk free. Get the timing right. Unless the circumstances are exceptional, avoid surgery if you have recently moved house, changed job, lost a loved one, had a broken relationship or had a baby.

“The real expert on your appearance and any concerns you may have is you. The only assistance you should need is to decide what, if any, surgery you might need. Get unbiased information regarding what might be technically possible and any associated risks and benefits. Do not let anyone talk you into doing anything for which you had little concern before the consultation.”
