Getting life in proportion
Many people scorn breast surgery and say that the results never look natural and we all like to think we can easily spot women who have undergone augmentation or lift surgery. However, one woman’s testimony is fighting back against this prejudice and is extolling the benefits of breast surgery. Jemma Dodd, who worked as an executive in Lincolnshire, has told the Daily Mail of her quest to boost her confidence by undergoing the breast augmentation procedure. Confidence is clearly a necessary and vital part of Jemma’s job and, as she commented, “looking good is an important part of feeling confident”. I am sure we would all agree with that statement and such an ethos is what prompted Jemma to strive to change herself.
In March 2007, Jemma took the decision to change her cup size to a 34/36 DD and she has admitted that she “loves” the results of her surgery. Before the operation she had very low self confidence and had always felt that “if you feel good in yourself than you will exude confidence”; Jemma is now living up to that mantra. Ms. Dodd has also commented that she would recommend the surgery to anyone which is also testament to how much of a success she feels it has been and how much it has really changed her life. Many women suffer from a lack of self confidence due to self-perceived physical imperfections; Jemma’s story is testament to the fact that, for such women, there is light at the end of the tunnel.
Of course, it’s not just the regulars like you and me who are undergoing surgeries, the celebrities are at it as well and the breast augmentation procedure is one of the most popular over in celebville. Big Brother star Aisleyne recently revealed that she wanted to enlarge her breasts even further. Her comments went on to highlight one of the possible dangers of plastic surgery when she commented that: “once you’ve had a taste, you just want more”. Whilst this may be good news for plastic surgery companies, you really should be wary that you don’t become dangerously addicted to your pursuit of physical perfection. Stories like Jemma’s are the good ones, a woman with low confidence given a boost by a breast augmentation, but there are also those who go one step too far. We all need a lift, just don’t try and get too high!
