Some like body modifications, some think it is the work of the devil. Both may be right. I don't think all body mod is art, and each person has their own agenda. Whether we like it or not, people are going to push the envelope because they can. I've seen some pretty freaky stuff, like Catman. I don't think he has a clear agenda because he can't stop modifying. He has been doing this for over 20 years yet he hasn't become his totem animal. Those of us who haven't ventured into tattooing and implants don't understand those who do. Most are comfortable as long as it is accepted by society. People like Catman don't care what society thinks. So we have to agree to disagree. It takes all kinds to make the world go round. It will only get crazier with time. Look on youtube for a certain episode of Snog marry avoid where a school teacher is quite heavily modified , she seems to be getting on just fine?... Also have a look on BME for some beautiful heavily modified women , they are beautiful. Open your minds people.... its only aesthetics... What small minded people.

I mean seriously as an employer I have standards for my employees that work for me and These folks would not get hired ever!!! but I do like what # 10 has to say and they are right has not even begun... These are getting the normal people used to this so we except it. Sorry I will never except it! There are some modifications that make you look like satan himself... Is that really beautiful??? I would have to highly disagree. As a Father of two small children I am getting ready for the challenge preventing them from doing this to themselves. I am up for it! See, here is the thing. I don't have body modifications due to living under a roof with my parentals. It happens. Yet, all the piercings that I do have are for a reason. They are gauged for a reason. When I get tattoo's and hell, I might think of something else nifty that will coaside with my life, it will be a part of me, expressing my personal being onto my body. Treat your body like a temple. Well, I do. I also like to redecorate. Also, my body is not whom I am personally - plain. Yet, if I want it to be more of myself than, WAH-LAH! It will now be how I see myself and it will be how I wish others to see what I am capable of. The Tiger man...he went through so much for his own life and all the pain...all the dedication, all the time and money. He is showing everyone in this world his power animal, his strength, dedication, outrageousness, and so on, just by what he has done with his body. Let it go. The glasses, I find that rather great. Body mods are a way people find to express themselves, everyone finds different ways. A LOT of body mods arent necessarily permanent, i.e. piercings, albeit mods like tattoos are. It is everybody's right to do what they wish with their bodies, but it is NOT everybodies right to call them a freak for it. AND, regarding comment 27 by bodymod- it is NOT helpful nor right to call them a freak back, thats just being small minded. Some people can seem a little threatening when they have body mods, but chances are, they are just as friendly as most people you meet. Plus, it is not just alternatives who get body mods, i see people everyday who are 'normal' people who come to get piercings or tattoos. Think to yourself, do you have an ear piercing? or a pretty little tattooed tattoo, even if unseen? if so, then you are among the so called 'freaks' arent you not. The only difference is us alternatives, since you seem to have to groups us, we go on step further sometimes, to try something new, or put a piercing or tattoo in a different place.
