Cosmetic Dentistry
Get the dazzling smile you always wanted
When we think of dentistry we probably think of drills, fillings and having teeth removed; this isn’t the case anymore. Cosmetic Dentistry can really improve your confidence by improving one of your most visible features, your smile. There are a few different options when considering the best way to light-up any room you enter with a dazzling set of pearls:
Dental Implants
One of the most popular procedures in Cosmetic Dentistry, this procedure offers a quick and permanent solution to those who have missing teeth or for people who may be losing their teeth. These implants are generally made out of titanium and can be used to hold one or more false teeth in place. They are an excellent option for patients in relatively good health who have lost a tooth due to an injury or disease. This is essentially just a third set of teeth which come after your baby teeth and your adult teeth and they will appear just as authentic.
Dental Veneers
If your teeth are cracked, miscoloured or crooked then Dental Veneers could be the solution you’ve been hoping for. Veneers are not, unlike implants, an entirely new tooth; rather they are thin, specially-moulded pieces of porcelain which are put onto the front of your teeth to create a new ‘veneer’. The procedure is incredibly versatile and can be used to help with problems from crooked or misaligned teeth to gaps and damaged teeth or simply to cover up teeth which may have become miscoloured through years of neglect or through a pastime such as smoking. Porcelain veneers can last for up to 5 to 10 years and they offer a great, non-permanent, way to get the smile you’ve always wished you had. Most patients report a high increase in their confidence after the procedure, so the real challenge will be trying to stop yourself smiling!
Tooth Whitening
Over the course of your life teeth can become discoloured for many reasons. Your diet, a smoking habit or general wear-and-tear can all add dullness to what was once a dazzling smile. Now there is a safe and effective solution to stop this problem affecting your self-confidence. Hydrogen Peroxide or Carbamide Peroxide is used to bleach out the stains on the enamel of your teeth.
These procedures mean you won’t have to hide in the corner anymore; you can light up the room with your smile.
