Cosmetic Surgery Prices
Why can’t I see any prices on the individual procedure pages?
Cosmetic surgery prices vary just as widely as the people who choose to have such procedures done. All surgeons have their own price based on your individual case, how major the procedure is and what hospital you will based at.
How do I go about getting a quote for cosmetic surgery?
The best thing to do is to get in contact with your chosen surgeon and book a personal consultation with them. Clearly, no cosmetic procedure is going to be cheap, but you will most likely find that costs are not as high as you first imagine and that a newly confident and happy you could well be in your price range! Meeting with your surgeon not only allows you to allay your fears and gives you piece of mind but, importantly, it gives your potential surgeon the chance to assess your unique and individual case.
If you want hair transplant for example, the price will be determined by how many individual hair grafts your personal case actually needs; this could be dramatically higher or lower than another patient wanting the same procedure and thus generalising would be futile.
Once an assessment and consultation is complete, your surgeon will be able to give you a fixed quote for how much the procedure will cost. Don’t worry, you don’t need to hand over a cheque there and then; it’s obviously a big decision which needs time to be considered but once you’ve got a handle on the financial implications then at least there’s one less thing to worry about
Do I have to see a cosmetic surgeon to get an exact price??
In short, yes. There are simply too many variables which couldn’t be taken into account in giving an exact quote out to every customer. Which hospital will the procedure be performed at? How long will you have to spend in theatre? Will you be under general or local anaesthetic? The answers to all these questions will vary from customer to customer and, as such, so will prices.
You will find that a great many cosmetic providers don’t publish their prices. This is because prices vary from one surgeon to another; from location to location and between various hospitals and clinics.
There are also the costs of theatre time, special equipment (such as implants) and the aftercare to consider.
Every patient is different with differing needs and requirements and the cost of their treatment can only be decided following a consultation. This should be a fixed price quote so you know exactly what you are getting for your money.
Be aware that cheap doesn’t always mean good. It is better to go with the reputation of the surgeon rather than opting for what appears to be a good deal but turns out to be the opposite!
