Microdermabrasion

Improve the appearance of imperfections such as wrinkles, sun spots, acne and pigmentation.

Many people have skin that they are unhappy with possibly because of various ailments such as wrinkles, sun spots, acne and pigmentation and therefore they search for a treatment that can bring the skin back to life. One of these treatments comes in the form of microdermabrasian, which is a non-invasive procedure that can rejuvenate the skin and give it the appearance associated with someone younger. It does not involve a surgical procedure and like other skin rejuvenating methods it stimulates your body to combat the skin ailments itself, making the effects last longer.

What is microdermabrasion and how is it performed?

Microdermabrasian involves the use of tiny aluminium oxide crystals. These fine crystals are sprayed against your skin having the effect of sandblasting it and bringing your skin back to life. Your skin will be exfoliated and collagen reproduction will be stimulated. This means that the body will begin to combat skin ailments itself and the effects will be long lasting. It also removes dead skin cells which can be subsequently discarded. It has been known to give very pleasing results, meaning that people are very happy with the skin that they are left with. This is largely because the spray can be controlled easily so that the patient will only receive an amount that is right for them.

It will be carried out by someone who is highly trained and qualified to carry it out. To get the best effects people continue to receive dosages of the spray at intervals over an extended period of time.

What areas can be treated with microdermabrasion?

The areas that can benefit from this treatment include the face (including around the mouth, cheeks, chin and the forehead), the arms and the neck as well as others.

How long does it last, and will i suffer any side effects?

It can last anywhere between forty five minutes to one hour, though this will vary from patient to patient depending on the extent of he procedure. Because of its non-invasive nature it means that there is no downtime, so you will be able to return to your daily routine quickly with rejuvenated skin. There are no known side effects associated with microdermabrasian, however if anything serious is experienced you should let your doctor know. The results, however, include skin that is brought back to life with a healthy colour void of wrinkles.
