Paul E. Banwell is an aesthetic, plastic and reconstructive surgeon who is fully accredited. A full member of several highly esteemed organizations such as; BAPRAS, BAAPS and ISAPS, Mr. Banwell is the NHS Consultant for Plastic Surgery at the world-renowned Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead. At Queen Victoria Hospital, Mr. Banwell also holds the titles of Director of the new Melanoma and Skin Cancer Unit and Lead Clinician for Skin Cancer. Mr. Banwell is also listed under Plastic Surgery on the GMC Specialist Register.

Mr. Banwell received his education in the United Kingdom, in Tunbridge Wells. He went on to study medicine at the St. Mary’s Hospital Medical School in London. While studying in the United Kingdom and throughout North America, Australia and Europe, he was exposed to extensive aesthetic surgical training. A particularly formative time in his educational years was his time spent at the highly regarded McIndoe Surgical Center located in East Grinstead. 

Mr. Banwell received an Honors Degree from the Wellcome Institute, in the History of Medicine. In 1992, he graduated with a MB and MS in surgery and medicine. He then went on to continue his surgical training in London, studying Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery. In 1996, Mr. Banwell was awarded a fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He also accepted a Senior Fellowship assignment with the prestigious Royal Marsden Hospital. Here, he specialized in the reconstruction of the skin and soft tissues affected by cancer, particularly focusing on the head, neck and breast area.

Though he is able to offer an extensive list of cosmetic procedures, Mr. Banwell specializes in breast enhancement, eyelid surgery, body contouring procedures, facial rejuvenation, anti-aging treatments and advanced forms of skin care. 

Mr. Banwell is highly regarded in the arena of skin cancer prevention, detection and treatment, where he routinely performs mole and skin check services at his medical offices. His specialized interest in skin cancer has led to his significant research in the revision of scars and the treatment of healing wounds. Mr. Banwell has published two books and over 50 articles on his research findings and shares his research at Harvard University where he holds the title of Visiting Professor. Mr Banwell has also been awarded various teaching accolades from Oxford University.
